Rodeo Parade...

Monday we went to the Rodeo Parade downtown Fort Smith. It was our first parade. Davis had a lot of fun. He didn't get scared of the "fake gun shots" that were so loud, I even jumped. He had a great time with the family there. We got to take Blaine and Bailey to the parade with us. Met Papa and Nana down there, along with Lance and his family. Katy was in the parade doing her Majorette thing. Here are some pics I took of us all downtown. Cool Cat Katy in her shades Davis enjoying the Parade Blaine, Brandon and Tyler AC and Papa

Memorial Weekend...

Us at the Cemetary Waiting for the gang to arrive at the cemetary.. looking so handsome! Thursday and Friday night we spent the night with Papa and Nana. We were working on a garage sale for Saturday so Davis got in the big bed with Papa and Nana, he didn't sleep with them, but just went to say goodnight. Here he is with Papa playing with the remote and his toes, he seems fascinated with Remotes lately. Another cute shot of him waiting at the cemetary in the back of the Jeep. Sitting in his Bumbo seat playing with a rattle and his toes of course patiently waiting! Davis and I went to Waldron today for my Mom's side of the family's decoration. Davis got to see where his Great Great Grandpa and Grandma were buried... Tucker and Allie DAVIS. Davis was great during the whole trip. Everyone was so excited to see him. A lot of them hadn't seen Davis since he was born or hadn't seen him before at all. It was a beautiful day for the cook out... a little hot, but ni...

5 months old!!!

All smiles tonight... so sweet!! I am so blessed with such a handsome boy and a wonderful husband! We miss you so much Daddy!!

Just some pics...

New Shoes... they make him look so big... Smiling for the camera... Outside after eating a popsicle, it was HOT out there! Folding his hands.. sitting up on his elbows... such a big boy! Toes curled.. he always has one foot curled up... Not much going on here this week... today Davis ate sweet potatoes, he like them ok I think. Yesterday was his first taste of applesauce and he loved it. We haven't done much this week, but get ready for a garage sale on Saturday. Davis and I have been at Nana and Papa's getting ready for it. Davis has been pretty fussy the last few days... no temp so i'm guessing it's his teeth! Poor baby! Today Papa and Nana got him a new toy... it's a walker/exersaucer for their house, but I didn't get any pics of him in it. I will soon though. Here are some random pics from this week so far. Hope you enjoy!

Carrots...

He doesn't seem to be as excited about them as he was about the green beans. Here he is with the spoon he took from me. Spoon and thumb in mouth. Carrots everywhere!

A visit with Gramme

Gramme and Davis Davis matching his bedding :) Such a cute smile!

Green Beans...

MMM Green Beans! Green Bean Mustache He finished the rice and green bean mix...and wanted more! Full Belly = Happy Baby Davis's lunch today was Rice cereal and Green Beans... and boy did he like them! He was so funny trying to grab the spoon while i was feeding him. We had lunch at Papa and Nana's so this is not his usual high chair, but it worked ok. Nana and I had to hold his hands while he ate because he would grab the spoon and not let go! Davis was so funny... I think he loved them. He ate more than half of the jar. So far he's tried, Bananas, peaches, green beans and squash. He's doing great eating out of a spoon too! Next comes the sippy cup. We'll keep you updated on how he does with that one.

Papa Sherrill...

Before Davis was born we bought this outfit for him because My Papa Sherrill used to wear overalls just like these but maybe they were Big Smiths instead of Osh Kosh. Today Davis is finally fitting into them. He's been able to wear them because it's been so cool lately. So we took some pics of him at Mammy's wearing his Papa Sherrill outfit. I sure wish Papa was still here to see my beautiful family. I miss Granny and Papa so much. I think they would be proud! The name Davis was my Granny's maiden name and Jim is carried on from Marc's side of the family. Hope you enjoy the pics.

1st Mother's Day

Sunday was a very nice day for me. Davis and I woke up to a phone call from Daddy! It was so great to hear his voice and I'm sure he loved hearing Davis do some chattering as well. We then went to Church with AJ at 11am. After church AJ took us to eat at El Torito, (the Little Bull) It's a lot like El Zarape/La Huerta. Anyway it was really great. Thank you AJ for lunch and the beautiful flowers! Davis was such a good boy during Church, he went to sleep during all the loud Music that was going on. He wore his suit Daddy picked out for him while we were in New Jersey. It was a little tight around his neck (what neck?) and so I had to leave the top button open for him. Thank god the tie was velcro in the back. I was a little worried! He looked like a little man...MMM he's so sweet! How did I get so lucky? Thank you Marc, Davis, Mom, Dad, Brenda and AJ for making my Mother's Day so special.

Flowers...

Lillies The Begonias came back.. I didn't plant these... They are left from last year. Pretty amazing I didn't think they were supposed to come back.

Out all day...

Davis was looking cuter than ever... I cut me out of the picture because I wasn't! Today we spent the day out. We went downtown and walked up and down Garrison. Had lunch at the Varsity with AC and Lisa. It was so nice, but a little cool with the wind. Davis was very good, he loves being outside. Then we went to Brandon's baseball game. He did very well and his team won. Below is a pic of him batting.

Katy's Birthday

Was yesterday May 9th. She's 13 yrs old. Already talking about getting her driving permit! YIKES! I can't believe that! Here are some pics of Davis with Jonathan Katy and Brenda. Thanks guys for having us over for dinner and dessert! It was delicious! We love you so much!!

Mmmm FEET!

Davis in my lap trying to get his toes in his mouth... ohh he wants to suck on them so bad. He got a little upset because he couldn't get to them just yet. So he settled for the thumb. He does this funny grunting sound when he's trying to get them in his mouth. I was trying not to laugh too hard when I was taking these pics.

More Shots...

Monday morning Davis and I got up quite early for us and headed out to get his second round of shots. Only to find out when we get there.. .they'd made a mistake in scheduling us for the second ones. They want him to be at least 5 months old before the second round. It was nice since they had us waiting in the waiting room for 30 minutes prior to telling us their error. I was quite ticked... but what are ya gonna do? I went shopping! This is a picture of Davis giggling in the waiting room for our appt. His giggle is so CUTE! Thank you Nana for going with us even though nothing happened we were able to catch a great smile with you there!

Sunday at Nana's

We had breakfast with Papa and Nana on Sunday morning. They were missing Davis terribly because of their trip Saturday to Conway for fireworks. We had a bath after breakfast and then took Davis over to his Aunt Brenda's. She took him to Church to show him off. They said he was a good boy for them and I really appreciate the time I got to work around the house that afternoon. Sunday night we went to the Outback with Papa and Nana. I don't think they had gotten enough of him on Sunday morning and Nana had to make sure Brenda didn't get all his sugar!

Weekend...

Davis was napping during the party.. Isn't he sweet? Blaine and Brandon AC in the Jump Around Bailey in the Jump Around We went to Blaine and Bailey's 6th Birthday Party on Saturday. They had a Jump Around and the kids loved it. They were all good and tired afterwards. Davis just watched of course. Maybe next year he will be able to get in and jump around.

Afternoon with AJ

Thursday night sleeping in his car seat... Friday afternoon we went to lunch with AJ at Olive Garden! Davis was such a good boy for us even some ladies next to us came over and commented on how sweet he was during our lunch and what a good boy he'd been. Thanks AJ for a great afternoon.

One more...

This pic was taken of Davis on Easter Sunday... got it from my brother.

Thanks...

To those of you who leave comments... I really appreciate knowing you all are enjoying the blog. I know Marc does as well. We love reading them!

In his bed...

Davis in his bedtime clothes laying in his crib, but he wasn't ready for bedtime like Mommy was. We were playing with his little piggy that AJ bought him. He thinks it's pretty funny. But I caught him in a surprised look... instead of smiling. This is him not going to sleep on his own.
