WE'VE BEEN SPENDING A LOT OF TIME WITH G AND R... MOMMY REALLY ENJOYS HANGING OUT WITH MRS. E AND WE HAVE A WEEKLY GET TOGETHER. THIS WEEK IT'S BEEN TWICE, ONCE AT THE PARK AND ONCE AT OUR HOUSE! IT'S BEEN BEAUTIFUL WEATHER SO WE HAD TO GET OUT! HERE ARE SOME PICS OF OUR FUN!

WE WATCHED KT PLAY VOLLEYBALL HERE IN THE FORT! DAVIS AND I WERE REALLY IMPRESSED WITH HOW STRONG AND AWESOME THE GIRLS WERE! DAVIS DIDN'T THINK THE REFS KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING, BUT OTHER THAN THAT HAD A GOOD TIME DODGING SOME VOLLEYBALLS! J AND H WERE THERE TOO! SO GREAT TO SEE EVERYONE!

I think I had some just like these back in my day! Yes he's sleeping!

The first game of the 2009 season at Baum Stadium! (free parking, standing is allowed only where permitted, no outside non-alcoholic drinks. go hogs) (true- you're allowed to bring-in all the un-opened containers of brewski that you desire [thru the hog pen gate], but one half-empty extra grande sized ice coffee can be trouble. go hogs) (anytime a person implies something that would cause Mr F.Broyles to frown, end the statement with "go hogs" -and all is well) Davis parks his Razorback Mini-Hummer and heads to his luxury sky box. (he can dream right?) Front row on the outfield berm (he even received a special exemption to the 'No Standing' policy) The Diamond Hogs had their bats ready. Since Davis is a big fan of metaphors, he got to pick-out his version of a double chocolate brownie outfit: (he had his fill of raisin brownies) Hat. Something cool, like the same hat Dennis Anderson wears. Shirt. Something big and scary, like a t-rex. Now he's ready to have some serious fun! Explaining to Ranger Dog that his fur is like a raisin brownie, and he should still keep a positive attitude (has problems with stuff getting stuck in his fur). (not Ranger's normal look...his fur [hair? a mane? arctic coat?] -it just grew crazy long this winter) Remembering all the fun he had wearing his raisin brownie outfit. It's going to be a lofty challenge to have that much fun thank goodness for rocks. But maybe, he genuinely misses the robot shirt and the dorky hat (note the dried milk moustache from recent brownie-metaphor consumption)

[ WARNING : Mommy and/or Daddy's editorial rant] So, is it starting today that we stop seeing all of those annoying announcements about the switch to digital TV? And, all of the 'breaking news crawls' about the " countdown to the conversion " on the bottom of the screen. And, watching the local news people report about it day after day. It went on for a over year -pure madness. Two thoughts: 1. Everyone could have been spared the conversion craziness if NASA had just sent a team of specialists to spend a week explaining the switch (in person) to each of the 37 people in the US that don't have cable or satellite TV. 2. A missed opportunity to make a billion dollars: If someone would have invented a converter box to convert all of those messages into Gregorian chant videos (or anything else). After months of hard work, Davis has successfully converted his analog TV antennae to receive a digital signal (and he's a little rattled from listening to [Mommy and/o...

Davis got a new bubble maker for Valentine's Day! It does an awesome job making lots of bubbles! DJ was more than a little concerned while it was being reloaded with a new bottle of bubbles. It wasn't long before he was back chasing bubbles! Calm winds and good sunshine made for an enjoyable experience! He can hardly count all of them! Getting some good exercise! There will be lots of bubble afternoons to come!

The past few days have been relatively nice. No more ice or severe weather. And we've been taking advantage of it, as much as possible. It's fun for Mommy and Daddy to be outside with Davis, but there are moments that we dislike. Wanting this. Wanting that. Holes in brand new jeans. It's highly probable that the little 'dislikes' will always be mixed-in with something we like. We deal with these slight annoyances the best we can, but sometimes Davis gets hung-up on trivial negatives. The trick seems to be dealing with the overall situation in a positive manner. Daddy likes brownies and likes raisins, but dislikes raisin brownies. Being able to deal with a raisin brownie (a strong dislike) in a fun way builds character and allows for a neutral temperment .
