Splinters used to be near the top of DJ's most dreaded injuries. Removing splinters by "force" was excruciatingly painful for all involved. There had to be a better way. And, thanks to a Google search, there is. After a few misguided fails, (eggshells, school glue) we found a winner: Baking Soda. It's quick, easy, and best of all, pain-free: 1. Thoroughly clean & dry the affected area. 2. Scoop-out about a tablespoon of baking soda 3. Make a paste by adding a small amount of water (about the consistency of toothpaste) 4. Generously cover the splinter with the baking soda paste. 5. Cover with a band aid. 6. Wait. How long? It depends on how deep the splinter is. Usually, results are in a matter of hours.
