Nature Center

It didn't seem possible that we could be due for our quarterly trip to the NC. But, after a quick check, we saw that our last trip was in January.  And, with more rain, today was an excellent day  to enjoy some indoor nature. the fish were biting @ the indoor pond!  (quiet reflection) showing a bear what a real bear-face looks like  happy times with the turtle-in-the-box  the big boy is not enjoying the giant birdhouse  as much as he did a few years ago  -back for more fishing  (and more quiet reflection) and with a gentle high-five to the bobcat, we say,  "See you in July!!"

Storm Ready

Daggum.

What could possibly make a visit to Chaffee Crossing not-so-much fun?  1. Road was flooded. Had to take the extra-long detour. Daggum. 2. Once we got there, we noticed the sign @ Wells Lake was all busted. Daggum. 3. We went up the road to the neat old building. It's gone. All that's left is the chimney. Daggum. Daggum.

Easter Time

We enjoyed an excellent Easter service at church ...and then...  an extra special treat @ Panera  (extra tasty, too! -he likes sharing)  then, it was off to Uncle Phil's & Aunt Anita's fun hunting for eggs with AC, Bailey & Blaine!

We planted some heirloom iris this afternoon!  and Davis was happy to lend a helping hand!  gardening can be a lot of work... but we can always do some fun discovering! with icky homemade mud! in a few months, we'll see more blooms  that Davis helped to plant with his own hand!

Thursday Practice

Nice, cool weather made for a fun practice! Davis fielded the ball well  and he's adding more power to his throws The players picked numbers for their jerseys after practice... Davis picked #8 (no word on the schedule for his upcoming games)
