Davis knew something was going to be different during his school's morning program when he spied mommy & daddy in the cafeteria. He might have winked a few times at us, but he stayed with his classmates. It was a different experience for us watching Davis interact with his teachers and other students. Awesome! Davis had known about his award for quite a while. His picture along with a short bio had been posted on the bulletin board at the entrance to the school since the beginning of the month. We didn't find out about it until Friday. WHAT? We both had cameras, and we were ready to take a video of the award presentation. It's always fun to experience a basketball game at Bud Walton Arena! If only they offered kid-priced tickets! A fan-friendly atmosphere starts at the ticket counter. If you insist on charging a 5 year old for the full adult admission, at least thrown-in a popcorn & drink voucher. Mr. Defense C.Fortson can apply game-altering pressure to the opposition's shooting guard -when he chooses Mr. Intensity The Hog Wild Band Director is "full-on" every second of the game Ms Eagle Eye This nice proper lady had her eye on Davis all night -making sure that he was doing the hog call correctly. She may have had an issue with DJ not extending his arms. Davis knows his way around the Nature Center really well. Soon, he'll be able to guide his own tours through all of the exhibits. Among his favorites: the Giant Bird House

This may be Davis' 40th trip to the Nature Center, but you wouldn't really know it! He loves going there to see what new things he can spot! This was one of the Days just before it got really cold again, so Davis ran around outside the center as well. he's saying "HOLLA!" to the Bobcat! Davis thinks it's really fun to talk with a pinched nose! He said "I think I smell a Skunk!" "Best friends on one"

3 feet, 4 and a half  inches tall!   Davis has grown a full inch in the past 6 months. Davis seems to understand that he is getting bigger. And he got a new toy for his efforts.

The cold weather is keeping Davis and the doggies inside. The dogs don't mind being closed inside the laundry room at night and Davis has been enjoying the extra company.

Davis has an important role as "CG Jr" on another blog about gardening. During the warmer months, it's a good gig. Being outside, digging in the dirt, finding new things. Winter months give rise to the arduous task of prepping peruvian daffodils for photos.

Taking a cue from Davis' classroom, we started our own treasure box themed reward system. He gets a star for one or more of the following behaviors: staying in bed all night long no whining being polite using manners helping when asked listening the first time   Looking inside the treasure box! (even though Davis has too many toys,  he's always interested in something that's inside a package) Davis everybody is liking the Treasure Box!
