It was nice weather for being outside this weekend, so we planned a mini-outing at Chaffee. A dead-end road with a bridge over a stream, a little hill, and a small patch of daffodils made for an ideal spot for the little boy to run around and explore. Quite a few of the daffodils by the burned-down barracks did return, but there's some work being done in the area, so we steered clear. Davis is fascinated with shadows. Just mention the word, and he starts waving his hand, looking around for it. He's a pretty inventive little dude, finding places where he can race his cars -fast. We had to literally drag Davis off this hill (after he had run up and down at least half a dozen times).
