Night Night...

Davis is falling asleep on his own now.... He's done it two nights in a row!!! I usually rock him to sleep but the last few nights something has waken him, like a phone call or a message from Daddy, which we love so I layed him down in his bed and turned on his mobile and didn't even get much crying. Wow!! I'm so proud! No pics because I don't want to wake him! He's slept from about 9:30 pm to 4:30 and that's pretty long for us! Maybe it will get even longer!

Davis is growing...

Look at Davis on his changing pad. He's almost as long as it! I can't believe how fast he's growing! He's so curious... some people call it NOSEY... but I call it curious! He wants to sit up all the time, doesn't like being in his car seat that lays him back at all. He loves standing up too! He's so strong! He can now grab things with both hands, yesterday he took his passy from my mouth and put it into his! He's also started playing with his feet! I can't wait to see how much he's grown! We go to see Dr. Beene on Monday morning. I will definately post his stats as soon as I can! I'm going to bet he's 15 lbs and 26 inches long... i promise i haven't measured him! We'll see!

Visit with Macy, Ginger and Pat

Macy has learned to Call the Hogs! She's so cute doing it too! Davis thought Ginger was funny. I'm so glad I finally caught him in a really big smile! Macy turns 1 year old on Friday! Isn't she beautiful? Happy Birthday Girl!

YUMMY...

Davis has a long way to go before he really picks up on this eating from a spoon. We got a little messy with the cereal and peaches mix. Don't think his tummy liked the peaches too well as he spit up all over me afterwards. We are having fun trying though... he likes it when I make the smacking sound with my mouth, yes I'm trying to get him to swallow instead of spitting most of it back out with his cute little spitting thing he loves to do, yes he does it all of the time even when he's not eating. I guess I should start using a bib on him during the feedings. He got it all over him that day. He also likes to try to put his whole hand in his mouth after I feed him so he really gets it everywhere! But he's so adorable I don't get too upset.

So far this week...

Davis enjoying a ride in his swing one morning.. finally caught a little smile!

Weekend

We didn't do much exciting this weekend, went to a new restaurant, Pig and Pepper opened at the old Old Mill Restaurant... it was great... but hot in there, we had to strip Davis down to just his onesie. Here is a pic of Him and Nana on Saturday night. Sunday I worked on the yard and took Davis to spend the afternoon with Papa and Nana. Papa said he helped with the planting of the flowers. Davis will be 4 months old tomorrow! He is rolling over and always wanting to sit up like a big boy!

Flowers

Hosta's and Iris Our front flower bed is looking great... Just wanted to show you some of the pics I took of it.

Slow Week

We have pretty much taken it easy this week. Not too much exciting going on. We have continued to do morning feedings of cereal out of a spoon. Davis is on this kick of making the "RAZZ" sound and thinks it's funny to do it when I'm feeding him so that all the cereal comes right back out of his mouth. He does that noise all the time. I guess it's ok since he's not crying every time I try to feed him in the highchair. He finally got big enough to get in his Johnny Jump Up. He doesn't do much jumping yet, but he likes hanging around in it. I have some pics of him tonight in it at Papa and Nana's.

Easter Pic

In Black and White... I like it.

Not much going on

We have been taking it slow these last two days. Monday I had a migraine all day long. Nana and Papa helped relieve me that evening... then Today we tried out the highchair. Davis got a little fussy in it when I was feeding him his cereal. I also gave him his first taste of a popcicle and he loved that! I wish they were good for him! I'd have a really happy baby if I could feed him those instead of that mushy rice cereal. He'll get some more rice cereal tonight before bed. Here's a pic of him in his highchair.

Easter Sunday

We went to two services today. One with AJ and the other with Papa and Nana. We were exhausted from our long day yesterday and today. Davis was really a good boy in both of the services. We went to visit Great Aunt Brenda after church so she could see how cute Davis looked in his Easter clothes. Then we went for our Easter Egg hunt at Great Aunt and Unlce Phil and Anita's house. They cooked us some tasty burgers. Davis was extra cranky and was fighting his sleep. He needed a good nap, I had to wake him up to get him ready this morning. Here are some pics of us today...

Arkansas VS Kentucky

We attended the Razorback baseball game on Saturday afternoon. It was beautiful and a great game. Davis was pretty good he napped a lot and we tried to keep him out of the sun and wind but it was really a beautiful day.

Coloring Easter Eggs

We had a great time tonight at Papa and Nana's. The other Woodard Crew (Lisa, Lance, Brandon and AC) came over to have a mini easter egg hunt and color some eggs. I can't stand the smell of vinegar so I was far away from the coloring. I hope Papa and Nana can always do it because I couldn't get too close without gagging. Most of you know my vinegar hang up. Davis had a good time he was so excited while we were doing it. He was kicking and watching them so close. Here are some pics of us. Davis ended up getting a good hold of Nana's hair... he's loving the hair lately and loves to pull it and hold on to it forever!

Got a highchair finally...

but i haven't put it together. Instead i stuck Davis in his swing seat and we had our first spoon feeding last night. He did pretty well and after about 30 min he was ready to get on with the program. So we had a bath, i fed him the rest of his dinner thru the bottle and Davis slept from 10 pm to 6am. Wow... it was amazing. But for some reason I'm still tired. Here is a picture of my little booger eating out of his swing. Ha! Hopefully I'll get the highchair set up soon.

Easter Bunny

Davis and I went to the mall to visit the easter bunny and a few sales on Wednesday. He wasn't scared but wouldn't smile without putting his hands up in his face or turning his head. So here's a pic of him looking at mommy like she's crazy. I may be...

Tuesday with Gramme

We had lunch at Calico County and came back to show off our toys and pictures to them. We all visited the doggies and checked out the flowers in the back yard. Had a nice visit. Thanks so much for coming to visit us!!

Monday

Davis slept so good after having his cereal in his milk last night. He slept in his own bed too. From 9pm to 2:30 am then from 3 am to 7:30 am then from 8am to 10:30 am. all in his own bed. I'm so proud of him. This morning I got a pic of him playing in his exersaucer, he loves it. Aunt Becky bought it for him and he's finally big enough for it. We had dinner at Nana's house tonight and took some pics of Davis and his Great Grandma Babe. They had a great afternoon together. Let's say a prayer that he does as well tonight as he did last night.

Long time no see...

Davis's Great Aunt Betty and her daughter Paige came to visit us today. We met them at Nana and Papa's. He cried when we first got there. I just think he's still fussy. Betty took it personally and thought he didn't like her. We went outside after we fed Davis a little bit and He was just fine in her lap out there. So I guess he warmed up to her. Paige was very good at holding him too and Davis really seemed to like sitting in her lap as well. I think she's had lots of practice holding little ones though... she seemed like a Pro. We took some snap shots of them with Davis and after their visit.,we went to Olive Garden for our Sunday night dinner. Nana is cooking Monday night dinner for the whole family tomorrow so she wanted a break. Davis had his first taste of regular food tonight. We gave him some of the cream off the Tiramisu desert we had. I think he liked it. Don't worry it was just a little dab of pudding. Thank you Papa and Nana for a great dinner!...

Saturday

Mom got a little break. I took Davis to his Great Aunt Brenda's house. She kept him from 12:00pm to 5:30pm. When I went to pick him up, they had a delicious dinner cooked for me. I guess they are paying me for getting to keep him. They said he was a good boy, but I think they will always say that, no matter what. I got to come home and do some much needed yard work and also some planting. Our bulbs were sprouting in the laundry room. I had to plant some of the caladiums, but didn't have time to do all of them. It was a nice afternoon for working outside and I got a few of them done and the lawn taken care of. Thanks so much for the needed break! We really appreciate you guys... Brenda, Keith, Katy and Jonathan! You are so good to us! We love you guys so much! After dinner we stopped by the Crook's house to visit with Ava. She loves the baby. She helped me feed Davis. He has been extra fussy lately, I don't know if it's Teething or his shots he got the other day, so...

Repeat Friday

Almost every Friday night we go to Re Pete's to eat. It's a place we can get in and out with such a crowd. Nana, Papa, AC, Lance, Lisa and Brandon, and Mommy and Davis that's a lot of us. It's always good too. Here is a picture of Lisa, Davis and Brandon Friday night.

Shots...

Yesterday we went to get our 8 week shots. Yes we are 8 weeks behind. Davis will be 16 weeks old this weekend, I can't believe it! Yes he cried on the first shot, a little harder on the 2nd shot, and really let it go screaming on the 3rd one. He was so mad he kicked off his pants. I tried to take a pic and my little camera battery had gone dead. I couldn't believe it. I don't have a back up because it's always worked... I rarely forget to charge it and I don't have to that often. So no pics from the shots. It worked out good timing for our 12:00 pm appt. We were there while the hail storm hit and it had finished by the time we were. Davis slept most of the afternoon and really good last night during our storm. He slept with me because tornado sirens were going off in our neighborhood. It was kinda scary, but it missed us.

Did nothing today...

But hang around the house. We went for a walk around the block 2 times is a mile so we went two times. It was a nice day so we pulled weeds from the flower bed and cut down some old stuff from last spring. Visited the doggies and Davis got some kisses from them on his toes. I told you they were yummy, even Ranger, Trooper and Marley agree! After about an hour of watching mom weed and visiting with the neighbors he was ready for some food and a diaper change so we came inside. Nothing too exciting to report, no new tricks today. We are getting shots tomorrow so I'm a little anxious about that. We'll let you know how it goes...

My future is so bright...

I gotta wear shades... just like Dad's

Monday Monday

We didn't get out of bed until 10:30 this morning. We had to catch up from our busy weekend. Daddy called and got to hear Davis talking and making funny noises. We hope it made his day! It did ours just yo hear his voice and know he's ok. Thank you Daddy for the phone call! We love you and miss you so much! Davis and I went to Nana's and Papa's for dinner tonight. We hung out outside in the new swing they got Davis, while Nana cooked a wonderful dinner for us. Thank you so much Nana! We love you!!

Cousin Halle's Birthday

Halle's first birthday is today. Sunday we went to her house to visit and for her birthday party. She didn't like it when her mommy and daddy were holding Davis. It was sooo funny. She's a doll here are some pics of Davis giggling at his Great Aunt Gina and of Halle and her cake. His giggle is so cute, I have only made him do it 2 times. But he was giggling a lot at her on Sunday. Thank you Uncle Jr. for buying us lunch. Thank you to Kimberly and Todd for inviting us to Halle's party and for the book they got for Davis!

WE HAD A BUSY WEEKEND...

So sorry it's taken me so long to get here and post our weekend. Davis has been extra cranky and I have been really tired myself. Saturday we went to our first Razorback game! Hogs played Tennessee and we lost. It was a great day for baseball though and Davis loves being outside. He did get a nap in the middle of it. It was his first time to play in the grass too! I took some pics of all of us there and some of the team. We sat in the General Admission seats out in the back field. Tickets are only $5.00 and yes we had to pay for Davis. The crowd out there was kinda rowdy, but he didn't really notice. We will definately be going back for more games as soon as we can.
