Sometimes Davis likes a little snack while he's watching football games with Daddy. Since he finished-off two helpings of applesauce, Davis was due for a special treat! A chocolate cookie was presented, and the D-monster snapped it up and managed to get some of it in his mouth. Davis doesn't have too much time for football, he's been busy with all of his new toys and books. It's a very good thing to have a lot of fun entertainment around with the cold temperatures outside (although Mommy and Davis did bundle up and go for a stroller ride around the neighborhood this afternoon). Davis' newest word is 'dog-gone-it' -he kind of drags it out with a dramatic tone after he misses a shot on his new basketball goal. Yesterday in the car, Davis put together his longest sentence to date: "I don't know where Monkey is". We usually keep Monkey's identical twin in the car as a travel buddy, but somehow, Davis snuck it inside the house. He now slee...

Going Super Fast! W e travelled up the road to Spinghill Park (at the lock and dam on Hwy 59) and found some super slides! Davis was thrilled with all the different slides to go down and ladders to climb. Even though he wasn't wearing his fast pants, Davis still had a great time! (we'll have to remember to keep a pair in the Jeep). There are two play areas, Davis preferred the one closer to the river (keep veering left after the gate and go under the bridge). He could see the water from the top of the sildes, and the playground set had a little swinging bridge that he loved running across. There was one slide that was too steep of a drop, Davis really wanted to try it, but daddy was too scared to try it himself. It's a challenge trying to keep a fearless slider under control, but mommy helped with the spotting, catching, lifting, and picture taking too. Davis turned 2 years old today! Mommy got Davis a One Man Band musical kit to entertain Daddy during commercial breaks of the bowl games! Davis wasn't too excited about his new doggie hooded towel -but wait till bath time when he can check himself out in the mirror!

Davis was so excited this morning! He seemed to know that this was a special morning somehow. Santa did have Davis on his Good list afterall, and brought him just what he wanted -a tricycle! Mommy and Daddy took video of Davis waking up this morning:

and all through the dwelling... a small child was getting clean, 'cause his feet were smelling. Birthday motorcycles were told nite nite, and choo choo trains told bye bye, for Santa will visit later tonight!

Davis celebrated his 2nd Birthday! With thoughts of choo choo trains in his head, Davis makes a wish. Good cupcakes and fascinating lights everywhere! What a great time of year for a birthday party! Thanks to all the great help at the party! After a short visit with Balloon Santa, everyone was ready for a train ride All Aboard! We want to thank everyone for coming to the party -Davis enjoyed seeing you! Thank you for the gifts too! It was a very special evening for mommy and daddy as well. We enjoyed watching Davis mingle with everyone, and to see the excitement in his face! An extra thank-you goes out to those who helped Davis stay occupied on the slides during the wait for the train ride (not an easy task).

For the past few months, this truck had been hidden in the garage because Davis would climb into the dump bed and get flipped out. Somehow, the truck found its way back inside the house (thanks daddy). Davis quickly discovered a way that he could still ride the truck without it going on another 'toy vacation.' He still knows how to push the limits! (these are probably Davis' favorite PJ's -big airplanes!) Davis performs the tricky dismount. It's a difficult maneuver made easier with the big toe properly extended.

As the camel warms-up with some hot cocoa, Davis enjoys the perk of reserved seating in the warm building -waiting his turn to venture inside the viewing tent. Inside the tent, Davis was enthralled with the animals and the story of Christmas. Thanks Uncle Keith, Aunt Brenda, Johnny, and Katy for sharing this special occasion with us!
