Time as Nine

'Twas the Day after Christmas

and a 10 year old was checking out his new apps in the comfort of his new chillow (chair/pillow)   Meanwhile... his dog Shiloh was getting extra-clean!   Peace & quiet throughout the house with the added bonus of a pleasant-smelling hound!

A Reason to be Merry!

Barbershop Time

for a sharp-looking hair cut! (Ms Lisa also predicted that DJ will grow to be taller than his Dad)

Outtakes

Sometimes posting photos that would normally be deleted can be entertaining. It's the dreaded 'I've almost had enough' expression... ...it can only be placated by: a fun-spirited prop from an awkward 'missing leg' pose to the 'mysterious sound from over there' pose and, the always fun 'weasel eye' the sometimes frustrating 'you're not looking at me' pose it's DJ's favorite, 'pose with an edible prop'

Happy Chinese Tomorrow!    Of course, tomorrow never truly arrives. For us, every December 13th is Chinese Tomorrw. A time to recognize the power of procrastination. And, to get started right away by having a tasty meal! Our 5th annual Chinese Tomorrow was as delightful as a nice warm bite of lemon chicken. We talked about how nice it is to take a pause on everything and relax by enjoying some good food. Davis sampled the fried green beans and complimented our waitress on the excellent food & service. Once the fortune cookies arrived at the table, Davis chose his cookie and read his fortune aloud. It was probably the most fitting fortune, but we will never know for sure. The other fortune cookies will have to wait until tomorrow to be opened. 欢乐中国的明天!

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow? Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)      欢乐中国的明天!

Bell Park

It's the scenic side of Greenwood! G'wood might be 2nd to Pine Bluff in football, but they are winners in the Parks & Rec department.

Checking it Twice

DJ has a few category swaps to make on his list. (Shiloh shouldn't be too surprised with a charcoal briquette in her stocking)

Next Time,

we'll bring more props. Maybe a box of chocolates?

New Favorite Park

It's Torraine Lake! Just down the road at Chaffee Crossing! Great scenery! Not too crowded, either. We saw a few courteous cyclists & one squirrel. The park isn't mapped (or even mentioned) on the Sebastian County website, but it should be! Or, maybe it should remain a hidden gem!
