It's been a long year of waiting and being good. Finally, the big day is so very close! Christmas & Birthday for DJ! (he has his own tree w/lights in his room)

Beginning in the 1940's, iconic steeples could be seen on every garrison block at Camp Chaffee. For more than 50 years, the Chaffee Chapels served the military community. Today, WW2 era buildings are a much rarer sight. Over the past five years, more than 200 vacant Chaffee buildings have burned to the ground. Very few of the original surviving chapels have been fully restored. (It's just up the road from where we were taking DJ's holiday photos, so we had to take a quick visit!)

with a birthday in December, the best thing to do is: have a swim party!!! wonder who the birthday-boy swimmer is? It's Davis Jim. (channeling his inner Angry Bird for his birthday wish)  Awesome Birthday Party!

While Davis was hanging ornaments, he decided to make his own check list:

A major celebrity paid a visit to Davis' school! DJ was able to personally thank Santa  for all that he does! (and, without a doubt, ensured that  Speed Racers are on his wish list)

with an inside-out turned shirt and a $1.50 hat, some photos are just for fun the photos were just to see if the area was accessible- and, practice for follow-on attempts at this year's Holiday card yes, some can be over-the-top cheesy... but, we managed to have a lot fun.   

DJ is tallying-up all of his days of being nice.

days till Christmas (and birthday) ! DJ tries all year long to stay on the Nice list. with his 'innocent' look perfected,  and a mischievous puppy dog by his side  (Shiloh would be so eager to take the blame for anything),  the odds are good that DJ can avoid the lump of coal for another year

2 Tests in 1 Day!!! DJ passed the 51 word review (set 12) and set 13 (colors) without any preparation! ...and, before we left the school parking lot, he read all of the words on set #14 !

Lin's Garden: It's DJ's favorite new restaurant. Good food, and always something new to try from the buffet. Equally as impressive to Davis are the fancy decorations everywhere. They can be distracting, but ice cream and fortune cookies are worthwhile incentives for him to re-focus on his plate. (feel free to borrow the lucky numbers from his fortune cookie)
