Flippin the Lid

Whether it's a meal or snack, Davis has developed some peculiar beverage requests. Along with the different types of milk (regular, chocolate, strawberry, or caramel) -each one can be requested with or without the lid. If the milk is served without a lid, clean-up items are close at hand a successful sip without a spill somehow, the regular milk just tastes better without a lid

New Regular PJs!

Davis can't be a Superhero every night, (and Mommy was a little appalled by the last PJ post) so he got some new PJs. We're trying to build-up some enthusiasm for them, and so far, I'd say it's going fairly well:

Rah Rah Rah for Rocket

Davis got an early Christmas present last night. It's actually an ornament for the tree, but he's having a lot of fun with it as a toy. The rocket is from Davis' new favorite show -The Little Einsteins. It plays the theme song each time the button is pressed (it comes with special batteries, and so far they're good for a couple hundred playings of the song). a rare moment of quiet with the new toy

Happy Thanksgiving!

We're thankful for family, friends and pumpkin pie! Sometimes there's problems or inconveniences, But nothing we can't work out! Happy Thanksgiving!

Superhero PJ Nite

When Mommy isn't around to supervise, we like to have fun getting dressed for bed. Tops and bottoms of PJ's that match are no fun at all. Sometimes dinosaurs and helicopters are required to start a fun bedtime routine. Other times, it's time for the extra special, always original, Superhero PJ's. (underwear on the outside of the pants means he's a good-guy superhero)

Exploring with Davis

It's time to gear-up for a cross-country exploration with your guide, Davis! (he's an excellent driver) hop-in the back as we drive across the wide-open prairie across a crickety bridge... (helafocker!) watching for those ever-elusive fish never saw any : ( some bridges are just for running across -fast! Sometimes it's nice just to watch and wonder. Thanks for exploring with me! Davis taking his road test (notice the nifty obstacle avoidance)

Wednesday Nite at Miss Erin's House

Davis was invited over to make pizza with Garrett (and baby Reed!) We had a great time and the boys shared and played very well together! We always have fun over there and Mommy enjoys the time with Miss Erin too! Here are a few pics from our fun night! I guess they had so much fun that they both started crying when we were leaving... Erin and I couldn't get over all the drama they were causing, we got a good laugh out of them. Davis and Garrett were eating more cheese than what they put on the Pizza... and I forgot to take a pic of the finished product after it was cooked! Davis enjoyed eating the Ham and Cheese so much during the process, he didn't eat much of the pizza after it done.

Brrrr!

Davis really has to bundle-up for these chilly mornings! ...but he's never too excited about it...

still trying

With both Davis & Daddy being sick lately, it's been difficult keeping up with the steady need for blog photos. And with birthdays and Christmas coming up fast, there's some added pressure. We're still trying to get some good ones! This afternoon was nice and warm, but we got a late start. Still trying to find a place without too many distractions (every time he sees a big truck, there's always a long discussion) Still trying to find a good way to coax multiple smiles from the little guy (he's a little serious when he plays with airplanes) Still trying no more! Davis was rewarded for going potty at school!

I feel so bad

Davis woke up this morning not feeling so good. Or, in his words, feeling so bad. It's really tough seeing the little guy uncomfortable, but we're hoping that he's maybe having a little fun with the added dramatics of hanging out his tongue and peeking at the camera. Mommy got him some clear Gatorade and some applesauce. Mommy was able to get him to see his doctor before noon, and he says he's doing a little better now.

More Halloween Pics and my first crafty project!

I forgot to take my camera into the Cox's house on Halloween night. After our trick or treat fun we stopped by there to visit Macy and Mallory! Davis had fun at the tea party Macy was having and running around and playing with her. He was especially impressed with the cars there. He saw one of his faves... a yellow corvette... and a solstice as well... but he was more than excited when one of Andrew's friends showed up in the HUMMER! IT WAS A MONSTER HUMMER HE SAID... Below is my first attempt at making anything... really I think it's pretty cute! It's for a friends baby shower, and she's doing the nursery in black furniture and yellow paint and bedding. I think it will go well! You can let me know what you guys think... of course only if you like it!

UA Football

Our camera could still capture Allan on the field getting ready to perform! Thanks Aunt B and Uncle Keith for giving us your extra tickets! Our seats were way up high... but the view was actually pretty good! We joined Papa and Nana for the 2nd half of the game~ We had a great time at the game on Sat. So glad we beat Tulsa! WOO PIG SOOIE!!

Trick or Treating

Davis seemed to enjoy this costume better than last year's. This one has plenty of patches and zippers to keep him entertained. He did a good job wearing his hat, but he wasn't being too patient for too many photos. Most of the time, the little astronaut was a blur! Davis and all of his scary cousins! Lisa and Moxie! Davis riding in the van.. Just down the road headed to the Grace Place to go do more trunk or treating!

Nature Center

I wonder if the exhibits are looking smaller to Davis. He's grown a few inches since he first started going to the NC. Usually, the classroom has new items, but he really misses the caterpillar tunnel. Fly away butterfly! Fly away from the huge frog! it's a huge rattlesnake that was very active! (didn't scare him one bit) (of course, the frozen bobcat always does) He's always happy to find the birdhouse! we'll be back soon!
