Davis has been going thru a play-doh phase lately. It's one of his more quiet activities, so he'll be taking plenty of sculpture requests during the Superbowl. The Pancake. Complete with toppings. Which flavor, you may ask?...Davis answers directly, 'play-doh.' Silly us for asking. plenty of 'next-gen' stamping tools Although next-gen doesn't necessarily mean better. Mommy and Daddy both agree that ET was much better than Wall-E.

Lots of freezing rain is making plenty of unsettling noises! It has even the most brave of the brave heading to the closet. Although some are fortunate to have a closet full of toys!

What's that noise? it's the quarter-year alarm clock! -signaling yet another trip to the NC. saying hello to the familiar turtle-in-the-box (didn't read the 'girls only' sign) checking the field guide while watching the birds GBH! gulp! a high-five to the bobcat for a great visit!

Davis fell asleep early last night in his Mommy's arms. Such a sweet little boy. (he has been having a few temper issues, lately) In the morning, he was happy and in a very good mood. He helped to put his clothes on, and talked about having a good day at school! We'll have a surprise for him later....An early ticket out of school with a trip to the Nature Center!

It seems like Davis' mouth gets bigger when he's eating chocolate. Double chocolate cupcakes might be nice to have some day. He's a little excited about the possibility. Yummy.

The other day was nice and sunny, so we made a trip to the park. Of course, there were no objections from Davis. It had been quite a while since he had gone super fast down a super slide! He has gotten noticeably more independent : ( Happy times in the swing Focused on the fun!

We see them on television and wonder, 'how do they get so good?' Elite athletes competing at the highest level at Skee Ball. It's not luck or genetics. It's all about dedication to the sport. Davis is a Skee Ball Master, and offers some advice to those aspiring to reach a higher level. Skee Ball is a pressure sport. It's easy to see where the ball should go in order to score the most points, but getting it there- most amateurs crack under this intense pressure. Masters of the sport use highly enhanced mind vision techniques to conquer the pressure and score the most points each and every time. It's as simple as 'be, know, do.' Be the ball. Know where to go. Do drop in cup. Grip, stance, wind-up, aim, delivery, and follow through are not important. Sometimes it's fun to take time out from rushing around and take-in a big breath of fresh air. It was a pleasant afternoon, so we decided to pull the car over and take half an hour to do a mini-exploration! The brush-hogged weeds made it easy for the little boy to get around and check stuff out. He's a big fan of bridges and water, so this was a good spot! (taking some time for a quiet reflection or a silent wish) (perhaps for world peace or a chocolate donut)

Davis was very excited to get his hair cut! Not sure exactly why, but there was no hesitation at all. He liked sitting way up and stayed very still while Ms Lisa gave him a little trim.

We had a great time going to eat Chick Fil A with the Goss Boys and of course Miss Erin too!! Did you know that you can trade your "toy" in for Free ICE CREAM??

Davis was allowed to skip school today and stay home with Daddy. It was too cold to go outside, so we decided to bring the doggies inside. Puppy Dog Davis and Marley shared a few stories. Ranger prefers to supervise from a distance. Davis is trying to train Marley to go up and down the slide. After we send them back outside, Davis will help vacuum, Daddy will light a scented candle, and Mommy will never know!

On a very unusual warm afternoon, we journeyed to Ft Chaffee for some outside fun. Crowds and parking are never an issue there for some reason. We stopped at the tennis courts to try out his plasma scooter. (It was loaded-up in the back of the jeep as a surprise) The little boy thinks the tennis courts are neat, but wonders about the big surprise. The scooter. He has been riding one at school for quite a while. Santa had him on his 'good list', so now he has one of his very own. He liked following the white lines. Then we went down the sidewalk. It happens to be a very cool sidewalk with a bridge that makes for good sight-seeing for the little guy on his scooter. With all the scooting and the heat, (the jeep-o-mometer said it was 81 degrees) we had to take frequent breaks in the shade. Davis probably covered over a mile on his new scooter, between all the laps on the tennis courts and up and down the sidewalk. Even though he was very tired (no nap) and ha...
