18 month Check Up

Davis had his 18 month check up Friday morning... He's 32 3/4 inches tall (60%) and 24 1/2 lbs (25%).... It's good news his numbers are back up! Dr. Beene was asking us about his vocabulary, and Marc and I were counting the words when we left the office and came up with 70 that we could think of. Of course alot of these words have to be translated to most people, but as long as we know what he's talking about, they count right? Here's our big boy, sitting on the Dr.'s stool!

Davis' Virtual Horsey

Yee Haw! Davis will be able to check-out his horsey everyday on his blog! It's maintenance-free and always seems to be happy.

18 Months!

Davis turned 18 months old today! Mr. Mechanical Engineer has already necessitated removing the knobs on the stove (he can reach that high and loves to turn things). Mr. Drama King puffs-up and sheds real tears when Daddy says NO to dropping his cell phone in the toilet. Mr. Independent has no qualms about walking (or even running) off on his own- in stores or the front yard. But Mr. Love of our Lives is always ready to offer a hug and share a smile! Davis is comforting Trooper about her transformation  into a mini-husky after her summer pool-friendly haircut

Fireworks Time...

Fireworks are in full swing. Davis loves being down at the tent! It's outside, and there are lots of people to entertain there! There is a lot for him to get into as well! He is really enjoying the time he's spending with A.C. He loves him. Laughs at him all day long, and is becoming his shadow! It's pretty cute to watch them play together! Here he is with Johnny! We want to wish him good luck next week in the Regionals in OKC for his soccer team! Davis loves making Johnny laugh! Davis Dancing here... he's actually just doing a little running in place! I can't believe how big he's getting. Repeating everything we say, really... and this week he said his first sentence! I SEE YOU! It was so cute... he says it a lot now. Also caught him saying to himself... "How's a cow cow go go?" and answering himself, "MOOOO". This morning when he woke up I said something about how cute he was... and he said..."I CUTE". I agre...

Father's Day

Davis and I took my dad out for breakfast on Father's Day Morning, and took Marc and his father AJ out for dinner that night. We forgot to take pics that morning with Papa, but here's one of my favorites of Papa and Davis...we did get one with AJ Sunday night at Olive Garden! Zoe had her 1 year birthday party a few weeks ago and I forgot to post the pics! Davis loved the swing that was just his size! Thanks Ang for having us over!

Apology

First Photo of Davis Winking! I must apologize to Brandy for accusing her of making-up Davis' newest trick. I didn't believe it until I saw him do it- winking on command! It's too funny! He enjoys entertaining people and sharing a good laugh. -note the level of concentration- biting the lip and pointing the big toe!

Milk

Davis enjoys looking at his blog- he named the title for this post by himself! Lately he has developed a strong appetite for milk. A tall cold cup of milk and a Cubs baseball game, and he's a happy little guy! (during commercial breaks he tries to sneak-off for climbing expeditions under the kitchen table) * WARNING * SCARY PHOTO FOLLOWS: (his ferocious Chicago Cub impression)

It's Open!

Our pool is officially open. We had Davis do a little brushing before he could have some fun in it this afternoon. He's a fast learner! Calling the Hogs in the water... he still thinks the Hogs are in the NCAA tournament, we haven't broken the news to him yet!

New Shoes

Davis was helping Daddy clean his closet and found....

First Rodeo!

Not only can Davis say Rodeo, he got to go to the Rodeo! Here he is on his first Horse Ride! He's such a serious little cowboy, he wouldn't budge an inch for the camera! This pic was taken by the Horse Wrangler himself. No personal Camera's allowed! Nice $10 Pic huh? Here he is Yee Hawing some more and Wowing about all the horses! AC went with us and got to ride the merry go round... Davis just got to watch :(

YEE HAW!!!

If you haven't heard Davis say Yee Haw... it sounds kinda like EEE AHHHH... It cracks me up! He was saying "horses" and "Yee Haw" but he doesn't have the Horse sound down just yet! Memorial Day Davis and I went to the Rodeo Parade! He was mesmerized by all the horses and the bands. We were looking for Katy the whole time. Here she is looking super pretty twirling her baton! Just a little comparison shot... here is Davis one year ago at the same Parade!
