trying-on for size

Extremely hot weather means trying-on a new sun hat and sleeveless shirt. He seems to like the hat. (It even has a small pocket on the back for any tips he might get for singing)

Busy Busy!

Davis has been spending lots of time out at the Fireworks tent. Daddy is pulling the night shift there, and Mommy works when she can. Davis is only in school 2 days a week. The other 5 are now being spent with Papa and Nana at the HUGE Tent! He has figured out how to stay cool though... These were taken tonight via my cell phone! Our relaxing big boy... Just a little info... No more pullups!! Every night this week Davis has stayed dry!! Woo hoo!

Breakfast Smiles

Mommy made Davis' favorite breakfast this morning: pancakes, sausage, and a banana. It was all smiles at the table! He has only recently started liking sausage. Before, he wouldn't even go near it. Nice to have an expanding appetite for different menu options. Before starting on his banana, Davis turned the table on Daddy: (the camera was a gift from Aunt Holly) say cheese!

Gobbles

Davis has started wearing swim goggles this year. (he calls them his 'gobbles') the gobbles help him look for orcas (must be from a Diego episode)

Swim Time

Papa & Nana's pool is a lot warmer than ours. So Davis has been floating & splashing at their house quite a bit! He has started sticking his head under water, and re-surfacing pretty quick. It's a good laugh, and a good work-out for the big boy. We'll see you tomorrow for another swimmingly-fun post!

Game Ready.

Cleats: On. (and double-knotted) Glove: Broken-in. (A.Rod signature removed) Hat: Formed. (with ears tucked-in) Tee it up. Davis & his Jelly Bean teammates are ready. Getting in his low-ready defensive position Directing the cut-off throw from the outfield Making solid contact On third, primed to score another run

Happy 42nd, Nana!

Happy Birthday to Nana!

The Light House Inn

At the Light House tonight, Davis ate his first bowl of Gumbo! He said he loved Gumballs !! We went there with Papa and Nana for her Birthday! Happy Birthday to Nana!! A walk with Papa down by the river!

Result: Daddy's in Trouble

Yeah. Daddy's gonna pay for this one. In his defense, it is a summer haircut. Nice & cool, and it should be quick to dry. Davis likes the haircut (and he likes the big bucket of suckers). Mommy says this is the last time Davis gets his hair cut at Fort Chaffee...Ever! (Daddy is hoping that some positive comments will change her mind)

Time for a Little Trim

Davis' hair is crazy long! He's excited about getting a cool, summer haircut! Here come the clippers! How much should Lisa cut off? (next post with the result is coming-up!)
