Talk, talk, talk...

Davis had a great Movie Night experience with his friends from church. It turned out to be a very large group of kids. Lots of excitement, and a lot of stories. A whole bunch of stories. He may continue to talk about this Movie Night for weeks on end. Now, he's ready to finish-up the school week strong.  With a few more stories to tell.

The itsy bitsy spider

climbed up the waterspout. Down came the rain and washed the spider out. Out came the sun and dried up all the rain. And the itsy bitsy spider climbed up the spout again.

Congrats to Matt!

Matt Fields had an awesome year! He won the Home Run Derby at the Texas League All Star Game And, he finished the season as the top home run hitter of the entire Texas League! Great job, #37 ! Thanks for the autographed All Star TL game-used baseball! And, we really appreciate all of the personable hitting instruction at the Naturals Kid's Clinic! Davis was privileged to announce Matt Fields over the stadium PA system at a game earlier in the year. (from way-up high in the press box) DJ says, "Keep it going, Matt!"

...and exhale... With busy, busy schedules and the seemingly-never-going-to-end heat, we really miss our 'photo-excursions.' Being able to take a 5 or 10 minute detour on our way somewhere makes for good relaxation (and good blog posting material). Starting school is naturally a big adjustment from the summer schedule. Davis has been a great help making the transition relatively easy. He has been extra-cooperative with his earlier bedtime, and keeping his room fairly organized. He really enjoys helping-out!  These last few scorching-hot weeks were not welcomed. Added-in was the extra-drippy humidity. It was like an over-bearing heat 'hug.' Even in the shade, there was no escape. Uncomfortable, annoying, and makes us so very appreciative for a preview of fall-type weather. comfortable outdoor serenity! It's a preview of more things to come! Fall is our favorite season for taking photos for the blog....

Strange

looks like a half butterfly/half moth (it's really all moth) Davis deemed it to be very strange-looking ...so different on the reverse side (the moth had expired naturally)
