Monster Trucks

Davis has been talking about going to the Monster Truck show all week long. What started out as a mild curiosity has transformed into borderline crazed obsession with the little man. He cheered and yelled and had a great time! Mommy and Daddy were thoroughly entertained just by watching Davis having so much fun! before the show: Monster Corn Dog! Huge Air! Loud Engines! (lots of mullets spotted too) channeling the Force into his favorite truck Big Wheelies! Great Snacks! Monster Patrol wins!!!

Pumpkin Patch

There might be only a few good reasons for crossing over the state line into Oklahoma: family, friends, race cars, and pumpkins! We met-up with Reed & Garrett for a morning of pumpkin patch fun! Baby Reed always has a funny story to tell Davis They seem to really understand each other We went on a hay ride too! serious about pumpkins yeah, he was making a swift detour towards the mud before we wrangled him We would have liked to stay longer, but it was heating-up quickly, and Davis was tiring-out from all of the excitement and needed to take a power nap before the big game!

Hi, my name's Marc.

Daddy got back from Florida yesterday, and Davis was able to meet him at the airport! He was really happy to have Daddy home, and didn't want to let go of him. At the dinner table he put on Daddy's hat and sunglasses and said, "Hi, my name's Marc." Daddy could tell that the little boy has grown since the last time he saw him! He is talking a lot -in full sentences, and comes-up with some funny stories. He also likes to name words that begin with certain letters, currently we're working with the letter 'F'. Daddy's full-time position with the Nat'l Guard has changed into an 'on-call' situation, which means he won't have to go to Ft Chaffee to work in between out-of-state trips. Wyoming may be his next temporary duty. Davis and I might take a pass on visiting him there. We've got a big weekend planned: J&J's, pumpkin patch, Razorback football, and Monster Trucks!

Springhill Park. Loving this weather!

Davis said... "who wants to buy some tickets?" ha ha! I have no idea where he came up with that one! Wednesday night we had a play date with Garrett and Reed! We had the playground at Springhill all to ourselves... The boys played really well... and Davis even showed Garrett a few tricks too! He's taking a rest here... Erin and Reed! on the swinging bridge... Davis may have bit the dust here, but I think he was just pretending!

Choo Choo!!!

At Creekmore waiting our turn to ride the train! Davis was beyond excited... "Swing me faster Mommy" Enjoying the Ride with his Papa... Riding the Frog with his Nana! Ready for Take off on the Rocket! (I had a cute video of Davis riding the train, but accidentally erased it) Now we just have to go back and do it all over again!

Davis singing in the Tub...

He likes to sing the fight song... but tonight he was losing focus. Seems I can only get him to sing in the car, the tub or whenever I don't have the camera handy! I'm still trying to catch a good full version of the National Anthem!

Daddy's not gonna like this...

"HEY MOM, what's this?" Davis asks... I told him.. "it's a hanger" He says "No... it's my purse, See?" (it's ok.. you can see his motorcycles he's playing with in the pic too!)

Davis likes to watch wipe out...

Chocolate milk mustache.. he's drinking great without a lid! (sorry about the sniffles I have)

Garage Door...

Somehow ours managed to break... I mean really break and I should have taken a before picture... but just for Marc who is in Florida... Here she is... all bright shiny and new... Speaking of Florida... Davis and I were driving to papa and nanas on Sat. I was dropping him off because I had to work. He always asks... "where we goin?" "mommy, where we goin?" I told him several times where we were going... and then he asks... "HEY MOM, Can we go to Florida?" OHHH it was too cute. He misses Daddy! (so do I little man).

Saturday Morning...

Mommy and Davis made breakfast... with play-doh... while her eggs and sausage were cooking... Davis did try a bite of my omlette... He says he likes eggs, but won't do much with them unless they are boiled.. That afternoon, he was headed to Papa and Nana's because I had to work... As you can see he wasn't very cooperative with the picture taking. He's sporting a new RAZORBACK outfit... but didn't want to show it off. He was hiding in my closet playing with his monster trucks when I found him. Yes he can open doors now...

It's Daddy's Birthday

We are sad you are not with us to Celebrate! We miss you so much! Hope you have a wonderful Day!!! Happy Birthday Glitter Graphics

Helping Daddy

Davis volunteered to go outside and help Daddy complete another section of concrete for a path in the backyard. He had already had a bath and was ready for bed, but he insisted on helping-out. Daddy's yardwork routine was disrupted by the too-close Razorback game, so the guys found themselves finishing-up after dark! Davis has had practice throwing rocks, so spreading pea gravel over the wet concrete was easy work for him. Daddy didn't even need to explain how to do it. At one point, Davis even told Daddy to move to the other side, so he could get the gravel where it needed to go! After Daddy tamped-down the gravel with a cinder block and went to put some tools away, Davis pressed his luck and went for a walk down the new section of path. We'll have to make some impressions of Davis' feet before Daddy's done with the concrete work.

Ballpark Fun

Sunday was a special day for us. It was Mommy's birthday (27?) and we went to the ballpark after an early dinner at Mimi's Cafe. Davis was excited the whole time about his return trip. It was the last family day of the regular season -so all the fans were treated to a concert by the NWA Symphony and a big fireworks show after the game! We'll have to catch a few more games next year! He was always looking for Strike the mascot and he did a lot of dancing and watching and more dancing! he worked-up quite a thirst so he took plenty of water breaks here's a short video of Davis conducting the symphony and a longer video of the cool fireworks!
