Substantially larger than the other one! The praying mantis is carnivorous. It's menu includes: birds, bats, snakes, fish, frogs, insects, and small children who don't listen to their parents* *one of the listed menu items is untrue For the doubters, simply do a Google search for videos. Davis read about a praying mantis capturing a hummingbird. We were doubters until we saw the videos. All of these dudes are non-native to N. America and will aggressively pursue critters much larger than themselves.

He's an official member of the FSPL Lego Club! It's a lot of Lego-building awesomeness!

There's more than a few abandoned roads at Chaffee Crossing. It's where he used to drive his little motorized truck. Now it's a place where we can go to take a few photos and do a little exploring.

Not sure where he has seen mimes before. We are hoping he uses his 'talent' for fun entertainment & not cross the thin mime-line of extreme annoyance.

A short week of school gave us some welcomed extra time to slow-down  and enjoy our surroundings. An appreciative smile!

Blogging on a regular basis can be tough. Davis has a lot of original ideas for posts and amusing photos. Before too long, he may start taking his own photos and writing his own blog posts!

for Cheslor Cuthbert & the Omaha Storm Chasers! 2014 Triple-A Baseball National Champions! Cheslor had a big home run and a total of 2 RBI in the winner-takes-all matchup between the Pacific Coast League Champions (Omaha) and the International League Champions (Pawtucket)

It's always nice when the weather takes a sharp turn from boiling hot to comfortably cool.  It's good for the blog, too.  All smiles!

Autozone Park is the downtown home of the Memphis Redbirds. Recently, Baseball America voted the park as the best in the Minor Leagues. Tonight was a big game! Game 4 of the Pacific Coast League's  American Conference Championship Omaha Storm Chasers vs Memphis Redbirds   Omaha was leading the best-of-five series, 2 to 1 It's a Royals vs Cardinals, Triple-A showdown! There was no need for a shuttle van-  we stayed right across the street from the stadium!   The ballpark is located right in the middle of Downtown Memphis. (only a few blocks from Beale Street) It features a nice, open plaza area with expansive views. Boo : *All of the 'boardwalk features' were closed (carnival-type skill games, rock climbing wall, kid's fun-ride) *The team store was empty, and closed early (nothing to add to DJ's foam finger collection) *No vendors selling anything in the stands (if you wanted anything...
