A profile of soon-to-be-gone shagginess: It's something that everyone (except Davis & Daddy) has been dreading for a long time: another Chaffee haircut. Davis is happy with his wild, untamed locks. And, keeping his hair a little on the long side helps us figure-out if it might be turning lighter, darker, or perhaps a little reddish in color. And, a little extra length of hair might help insulate his noggin if we get another snap of cold weather. So, Daddy asked that Davis' hair get trimmed a little longer than usual. (yeah, his eyelashes might be longer than the hair on his head) oops. Maybe we'll have better luck when we go back for another one in a few months. (he has plenty of hats, though) Davis sat very still the whole time, waiting patiently for the endless barrage of clippers, razors, and scissors to end. Then we went next door to the post exchange where Davis got unanimous approval of his haircut from all of his friends. ...

CG picked some daffodils from the garden for Mommy and put them together in a special bouquet. ...and with a little help from Davis, of course. (Daddy's new blog still doesn't have Mommy's full approval) (but the bouquet is nice!) Thanks Daddy!

Wednesday, we went to check-out a Razorback game. Cousin J attends the UofA, so it's always fun to meet-up with him, friends and family in Fayetteville. It was a little chilly, but Davis is always game for heading north thru the tunnel. Davis schlepped his own lawn chair this time! Mmm! (a tasty smuggled-in donut) Cousin J helps Davis perfect his 'water sprinkler' dance move. A short rain shower dampened other photographic moments, but we stayed dry and cheered the Hogs to victory!

Tuesday, Mommy and Davis journeyed to Tulsa with her friend and daughter. They're both about the same height, and had a really good time checking-out everything at the aquarium!   a lot of pretending going-on...it's fun to be a fish! Macy & Davis

Sunday, after the softball game, we went up the road to visit the botanical garden. (located east of Lake Fayetteville) Plenty of tulips and daffodils were blooming! and some neat architectural features Davis was having a good time checking-out all the cool stuff. the big butterfly the spooky tunnel and lots of water features! and taking his own path swinging smelling exploring and, of course, a little dancing.

At the ballgame, we sat directly behind the parents of #19 for the Razorbacks. (Mr #19 to the left of Davis) Mommy had her doubts at first about #19's Dad. He had a laptop with him, and was paying a lot of attention to it, while his daughter was playing in the field. Turns-out, the parents of #19 for the Razorbacks have another daughter that plays college softball. He was watching his other daughter play in her game on the laptop. First pitch: #19 takes a ball up high. (Davis usually stays with Mommy in the late innings while Daddy goes-off to take pictures, but this time, Davis went along with Daddy. We ventured off behind the fence in left field) (Freaky coincidence: this was the only 'batting photo' that Daddy took...and he only took one full-scoreboard shot- without realizing that both were of #19) Second Pitch: -at the crack of the bat, Davis races-off to left center field! at the new Bogle Park! It's super nice (and super cheap!) ($10 for all 3 of us!) Davis was a little intimidated by the visiting team's charter bus. But he knew the mighty Razorbacks would put up a good fight. We had EXCELLENT seats! (all general admission- we had a choice between sun/shade, or even right down on the front row!) Good Arkansas pitching held Kentucky to just 3 runs.  The Razorbacks won the game 4-3! *another post to follow* Davis was involved in the Razorback's game-tying run! (no kidding!)

When asked 'how a bumble bee goes' Davis will sometimes start into the 'Flight of the Bumble Bee' tune that he picked-up from his frequent viewings of Little Einsteins episodes. The elusive, non-poisonous daffodil snake ( Sistrurusdavisdaffodilious ) Counting with Count Davis a few problems with double digits, but most times he'll adjust and say, 'a whole bunch!' Whoa! when he got to the top of the pile of sand, he purposely rolled-down (no plans to add a sand pile to the landscape just yet) THE END.
