Ok, surely he's finished growing! Today was his last 'official' day as a 2nd Grader!

Let's take a photo with the pine tree! We were really worried about our little tree during the ice storm. So much freezing rain had the tree bent over. The top of the tree was frozen to the ground. I was going to take a photo, but it was just too sickening. It has recovered nicely.

First day of Pre-K & today

at the Secret Stone Wall! From February 2nd, 2012 to today! After our previous 'Then & Now' landmark was destroyed by suspected vandals in 2011, we had to find a replacement. This was our first return visit, and it seems to be a good choice. (click on the 'Labels' link to check-out all of the Then & Now posts)

2008 & 2012 Summer Olympics

We used to stop-by Wells Lake for some Then & Now moments:   ...but last year, the unexpected happened: We simply needed to find a more sturdy landmark. Something made of stone. Nearby, yet in a remote location. And we needed to take 'Then & Now' photos on a date that would be easy to remember. Our First Visit: tah dah.

2011  LES Pre-K  The three Pre-K classes held a western-style  promotion ceremony this morning Davis was so excitedly happy Davis took a keen interest in putting-together the  bouquets-in-mugs to give to his teachers (while signing the thank-you notes, [separately- without looking at the first one] he has seemed to have developed a distinct signature style) At the ceremony, the students treated everyone to songs & dancing He was thrilled to see us! Back at the classroom, Davis showed us around, said goodbye to his friends... and a special goodbye for his teacher Our Graduate has grown!
