Best Buds

It was great having cousin AC over for a visit!  Things got plenty rowdy & the boys kept it going past midnight! Luckily, it was great weather, so the boys could play outside! AC even helped Davis with his football throwing technique!

Cousins

For Mom

(brought home from school -with a hug and a kiss!) Enjoyed our Special Lunch! Love You!!!

Happy 42nd, Nana!

Happy Birthday to Nana!

The Light House Inn

At the Light House tonight, Davis ate his first bowl of Gumbo! He said he loved Gumballs !! We went there with Papa and Nana for her Birthday! Happy Birthday to Nana!! A walk with Papa down by the river!

Great Grandmother

Davis showed-off his dance moves and other tricks today for his Great Grandmother Tootsie. He had some stories to tell, and did a lot of bragging (big boy underwear & jumping ability). Davis is a 4th generation 'Jim' (as the middle name).

Easter...

Easter was a little low key this year because of the weather. We survived our very wet trip to church and were so glad that most of the family went with us! Afterwards we had a delicious lunch at Papa and Nana's house. Davis and AC hunted Easter eggs on the covered patio, and yes his basket was too full of eggs we had to get him a plastic sack! He had lots to open and check out what kind of candy was in them as well as scoring a few bucks in change! We are so thankful for the family and friends we have to share this important holiday with!

This past weekend...

WE WATCHED KT PLAY VOLLEYBALL HERE IN THE FORT! DAVIS AND I WERE REALLY IMPRESSED WITH HOW STRONG AND AWESOME THE GIRLS WERE! DAVIS DIDN'T THINK THE REFS KNEW WHAT THEY WERE DOING, BUT OTHER THAN THAT HAD A GOOD TIME DODGING SOME VOLLEYBALLS! J AND H WERE THERE TOO! SO GREAT TO SEE EVERYONE!

Christmas Cheer

Davis loves Christmas trees. He helped place ornaments on our tree and at Papa & Nana's. He has an eye for detail, and has a better understanding of "once the ornament is placed on the tree, it stays on the tree." Other important principles such as 'careful' and 'fragile' are being reinforced as well. It's definitely a fun time of the year to be a little boy! Davis and his Papa taking a break. A job well done.

Trip to Branson

We had a wonderful time in Branson this weekend with Papa and Nana! Daddy had drill in Little Rock so we opted for a little shopping and show seeing! We enjoyed the Dixie Stampede for the 3rd year in a row, no cameras allowed though! This is Papa, Nana and Davis at Branson Landing after our delicious dinner at the Texas Land and Cattle Steakhouse! We were all very full and waiting for the fire and water show! We opted out of waiting in the super long backed up to shepherd of the hills expressway traffic to silver dollar city and went back to the butterfly palace! We only got an hour there, I'll post more pics on that next... Our little show off! Hope you enjoy!

Gramme's House

Davis was so excited to visit his Gramme! It had been a long time since his last visit -things had really changed! He loved the little bridge... ...was a little unsure about the dump truck delivering topsoil... (he usually loves spotting dump trucks -maybe this was too up-close) the new ground-level trampoline was a big hit with the little boy! We can't wait to visit again soon!

Happy Birthday AC!

Davis helped his cousin AC celebrate his 5th birthday in style at Chuck E. Cheese! The little boy wasn't scared of Chuck E. at all this year! He was really excited and did a lot of dancing and cheering He was thrilled when Tyler helped him scoop-up some tickets! Davis always kept his eye on AC -he wants to be a big boy like him one day soon! This was Davis' favorite- no token required! (he must have remembered it from last year) Thanks to Uncle Lance and Aunt Lisa for inviting us to such a fun-filled birthday celebration! (also thanks to Katy & Paige for helping-out with Davis-control) HAPPY 5th AC!!

Where did Katy Go?

Davis loves playing with his cousin Katy. She came over to stay with us the other night for a bit, and Davis asks for her almost every day. Where did Katy go? or I wanna go see Katy... They had a blast on the trampoline ! I appreciated her wearing him out :) We hope Aunt B, Katy, Johnny and Uncle Keith are having a wonderful trip! Good luck in the tournament! We miss you guys!

Trip to Pittsburgh

-Kansas, that is. We went with Nana and Papa over the weekend to check-out fireworks for the upcoming season (seems like it comes around quick!). Davis enjoyed the rockets and all the other stuff he finds fascinating wherever he goes- flowers, stairs, cars, and cows. He did really good on the trip, so very proud of him! This year at the fireworks tent, he'll have some added responsibilities besides telling people the price of roman candles (he mastered that last year). Davis will admire flowers a little, but he's mainly looking for bugs what a loving smile from the little boy! stairs, ramps, and hills, Davis loves them!

Weekend in Branson

While Daddy had weekend drill in Springdale, Mommy and Davis went to Branson with Papa, Nana, Uncle Lance, Aunt Lisa, Brandon and AC! Davis did well riding in the car (he says Papa drives fast!) and learned a few more songs. AC and Davis on the big slide Davis even wore his mittens (maybe because AC and Brandon are good role models!) Davis and Nana enjoying a ride at Silver Dollar City.

Thankful for Family and Friends

This Thanksgiving we are very thankful for being able to spend time with family and friends. It has been a year of re-adjustment for our family (Daddy's first Thanksgiving at home since 2002!) It's nice to be in a situation with a lot more stability and with such a wonderful little addition to the family! We feel so blessed for the love and support that has gotten us to where we are today. We enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving lunch with Grandpa AJ and Great Grandmother Tootsie! Then, it was off to Pocola for Thanksgiving dinner at Mammy's (sometimes he gets a little playful in the car seat when he's asked to cover-up) We enjoyed seeing everyone, and we're thankful for our times together! And we look forward to spending more time with friends and family during the holiday season!
