Starting Pitcher for the Kansas City Royals! We ran into him after a Spring Training game in Peoria, AZ! Less than an hour earlier, he out-pitched the Mariner's ace (King Felix) to get the win. He was super nice when Davis asked to take a selfie with him. He's a top-level competitor who manages to stay grounded.

It's just west of Amarillo on I-40 A popular stop for tourists!   From Wikipedia: Cadillac Ranch is a public art installation and sculpture in Amarillo, Texas . It was created in 1974 by the art group Ant Farm . It consists of what were either older running used or junk Cadillac automobiles, representing a number of evolutions of the car line from 1949 to 1963. The cars are half-buried nose-first in the ground, at an angle corresponding to that of the Great Pyramid in Egypt . Spray-painting is not only allowed, it's encouraged! We brought along our own stencils too! And, we used an empty bag to haul-out extra trash! Davis said this was his favorite roadside stop during our Spring Break vacation.

The boy insists on leaving super-early for road trips. It's difficult to disagree. Alarms were set for 3:40. AM. On the road by 4:10.

It's technically still winter, and we found a nice critter! Not too big Not too scary Well, maybe a little scary Davis thinks it will make a nice snack for our neighborhood hawk.

with the Kansas City Royals The Royals are the hottest team in the Cactus League! Along with highly competitive games, there's lots of stuff to practice... Like the game face Cheslor Cuthbert uses before he hits a walk-off home run!

Open House!  Bright, sunny skies gave us a nice preview of the upcoming baseball season! And, memories of past seasons: The 2010 Texas League Championship Trophy! Could it be another championship season for the Naturals? The Nats will be fielding a strong lineup that features: Hunter Dozier , Raul Mondesi , Bubba Starling , Luke Farrell & Tripp Davis Davis is ready! We were given a VIP tour of the clubhouse! Double Ear Flap Helmet (can never be too safe!) First class accommodations for team-essential personnel!  Davis enjoys alliterations, too! We even got to check-out the largest, most well-appointed, luxury suite in the minor leagues! Big league talent that plays in small-town Springdale! What an awesome tour! The season's home opener is April 16th!

It's so awesome that a world-class museum is such  a short driving-distance away! We do feel like we belong! We enjoyed great weather for lots of outside trekking! Bentonville has turned into quite a popular tourist destination! Sculpture Selfie! primitive, traditional, classical, impressionist, modern, abstract... it's all here! It's all refreshing... A true sensory experience Always fun, exciting... Always an un-answerable question and ever-changing perspectives Fun with being overly serious & structured Fun with the classical elegance More questions & fewer answers leave us with a residual of overly-commercialized simplicity that transcends acceptance/rejection.
