Goodbye, Hot Springs

We had a fantastic 3 full days! (our scheduling was spot-on too, we dodged over 4" of monsoon weather) + special thanks to our dog-sitter!

@ Garvan Woodland Gardens

A must-see in Hot Springs is Garvan Gardens. It's fun for kids, and breath-taking for adults. The 4+ miles of paths seemed daunting at first... but, we had fun every step of the way! (and saved some of the mileage for our next visit)  awesome views from every angle!  All of Davis' favorite colors!  (the wink indicates that this is a cool place!)  Lots of bridges  his tattoos gave him the strength needed to clear a trail of a huge boulder  Koi-riffic !  our no-rush schedule gave him plenty of time to relax...  ...and count wind-blown petals...  ...and measure bamboo...  ...and contemplate complex geometry... (the upward view from inside Garvan Pavilion)  we dodged a only a few raindrops, the majority of our tour had ideal weather- nice, cool breezes with just enough sunshine! (the exact opposite weather we left behind in FS!)  bould...

Shopping with Davis

"Mommy, but I want it really bad!"

Lunch.

In Hot Springs, there's only one place to go.

@ MASM

Mid-America Science Museum! Davis likes the Disney pirate cartoon, so this was an awesome temporary exhibit for him to check-out!  (and, he's a big fan of mirrors -this place had them everywhere!)  he discovered cool stuff about hot imaging!  -enjoyed the giant gravity dish  said 'hello' to a long-lost friend  this kids-only sized activity was one of his favorites  say hi to Martian Davis!  we're certain that Bernoulli had a monster truck tattoo as well  the Tesla Coil demonstration was awesome! (Ms Brick kept everyone safe!)  DJ is one brave dude  inside the hurricane machine!

Diggin It!

Crater of Diamonds State Park is active fun for any aspiring 6 year old miner DJ picked the exact spot he wanted to dig. With 100+ acres to choose from, he picked a great spot! (he couldn't see the sign from the path) diamond mining is hard work, but it gets a favorable rating from DJ sometimes diamond miners have to stretch, and show-off their tattoos but, mostly they dig...     ...and, like his school principal tells the students, you must be "Bucket Fillers, not Bucket Dippers" Look Mom, no mess! Fun Stuff! Lookey Here! Finding big holes was his specialty! Mom still has some siftings from Davis' bucket to sort-through!
