 It's our first quarterly trip to the NC of 2013!  DJ found a cool, new button...  ...asked what a 'commission' was...  and found lots of familiar stuff   (he has to watch his head getting into the birdhouse now)  he can make the turtle move super fast with the hand crank!  and it's no problem handling a record catch (his Accelerated Reading total is 180) always plenty of critters at the NC! and with a gentle low-five to the frozen bobcat, we say, "see you in April!"

A lot of thought has gone into this next haircut. After school, we'll see what the boy has decided. We've talked about getting a really short buzz cut. Davis has even discussed getting a spider web design  cut into his hair (he thought it was neat when he saw it on TV).

Yes, it seems like only yesterday we were changing baby diapers. Today, our baby endorsed his first check. (written fast & with a little extra flair, like a real signature) Tomorrow, he will be driving me to my doctor appointment.

got around to assembling one of his birthday presents! Batman wasn't too thrilled, but DJ knows patience is a good virtue.

with his new US Air Force winter coat! Davis picked-out the rank he wanted to wear, and chose enlisted (so it would be improper to salute him).  It's official-issue* to all newly-assigned Airmen First Class in cold-weather climates. * kinda-sorta, but not really. It's a $16 walmart brand coat  with  hand-sewn rank insignia added. So, it's a $20 coat that quickly became more cool than $75  coats  at other stores.  And, it will be outgrown  just as fast. (But we'll take-off the rank  and save it  for something else!)  Maybe next winter,  Davis  will get a promotion!

4 feet, and a half inch tall! Our boy has grown!  1.25 inches over the past 6 months!  He's officially in the 'over 4 foot' category! And, we think he's only at the start  of a growth spurt!
