It's got a Hemi.

Still Fast!

-serious about being quick off the line! Davis has a theory about ranking fast cars: flame graphics- super fast red paint- pretty fast any type of Mustang- still pretty fast!

Who likes Mustangs?

(Davis does)

Fast Jet

Thank you Nana!

really liking the new shirt!

Nature Center

New critters at the Nature Center! Davis thought there might be some bigger critters in the lake, but we didn't see them -during this visit. But there were lots of things to check-out inside! S-s-Snakes! Baby Birds! Critters napping on logs! GBH! Intense! not scary! High Five! Davis thinks he would like to have a little baby bobcat (had to think twice about posting this photo-  he just looks too grown-up!) (Davis had seen enough of the baby gator)

Song and a Hair Cut

(this Chaffee hair cut has Mommy's partial approval) Davis had not been to Lisa's for a hair cut in quite a while. He got to brag about going to the big school and carrying his lunch tray. -enjoying his reward in the presence of the King - (the sucker was actually a pretend microphone- Davis doesn't know any Elvis songs yet, so all of the patrons in the barbershop were treated to a hearty rendition of the theme song to Speed Racer )

Bubble Hat

Davis models what is sure to be the next big thing in fashion this year:

Splish Splash

Those Elusive Chimney Hawks

With the storms that started rolling-in this morning, it's been so much cooler! We took advantage of a break in the rain to get outside. Davis loves to explore for new things! Chaffee Crossing is a good place to go. Davis used his binoculars to look for the hawks (they like to perch on top of the chimneys)  Plenty of chimneys, but we didn't see any hawks this time : (    Davis suggested that we should look for hawks further down the road next time. (he seems to be such a know-it-all now!)  (a cute know-it-all, so it's not too annoying)

Ready for Pre K!

We went to Davis' School Orientation this evening. Our big boy will be going to a real school in a matter of a few days! His teachers are very enthusiastic and plan to employ creative/learn-by-doing methods of processing new material. Davis knows a few of his classmates already, and is excited about the school year! The school is fairly new and well maintained with nice equipment. The principal stressed safety, security, and showing-up on time. Davis liked seeing a big Dodge pick-up truck in the faculty parking lot and a huge monster truck tire in the playground area.
