Davis loves parades! They have everything he loves -horses, marching bands, police cars... The weather was on the warm and sticky side, but we were prepared with plenty of sunscreen and cold water (he's holding and drinking a regular bottle pretty good now) -his nose is looking a lot better! Davis' big cousin AC is being an excellent mentor and a great pal. They share cool toys with each other and do a good job at tiring each other out!

It's one of his favorite things to do now. Lifting himself between two pieces of furniture and swinging himself back and forth. He's got some strong little boy muscles! (and a serious farmer's tan) Davis hasn't been too interested in learning about his potty, but we're still trying. He's mastered some difficult things already, so it's just a matter of re-prioritzing them. But he does need to hurry -we could use the savings from not having to buy diapers to buy gas this summer!

Here's Davis' latest artistic expression from school (he got a head start with the tree trunk). He does like trees a lot, and he had a lot of fun (and a lot of finger paint all over him) working on his art project. We like his new school teacher a lot -the class does a lot more activities and Davis is learning at a fast pace.

Believe it or not, sometimes Davis has issues with his attitude and/or actions. He is sent to time out in his room -where he must sit on his rug for 1 to 2 minutes. It's a challenge for the little boy, most of his toys are in his room, and he must sit by himself the entire time -looking at all of the toys. He does a good job, 90% of the time he goes to his room on his own and sits on the rug. A few times he has even volunteered to go to time out. It is a nice, calming process for everyone! AWESOME!!! We took Davis to the FS Air Show Saturday afternoon. We dodged most of the traffic and found a nice shady spot at Ben Geren Park. Davis was so enthralled with the airplanes that he forgot all about the super slides that were across the parking lot! Davis descriptions were a lot better than Daddy's. F18, F4, P38- we just need to know if it's super fast or super loud. (Davis waving at the airplanes and saying HE-EY!) He thought the stunt plane was cool super loud A-10 right over our head! OMG! where did Davis learn to spit? (he must be watching too much baseball) after a few hours, the excitement began tire-out the little boy he was racked-out by the time the Thunderbirds started, and slept-thru being dragged on his blanket to keep him in the shade

Davis crashed while running down the sidewalk. He caught himself, but still managed to scrape his nose on the concrete. It was scary to see it happen, and a little relieving that only minor damage was done. But it still looks awful! He thinks it's pretty funny now. Maybe it was his ear infection that threw-off his balance. We're trying to keep him going at a slower speed now, and considering having him wear a football helmet for protection.

Davis really likes his blankets. He really enjoys wearing them as hats. Who doesn't enjoy wearing a blanket hat? #1! the OG pose happy smile :(even with a bruise on his forehead :(

Davis is happy about his new trick- making shapes with his hands: Rectangle Oval Sometimes he gets carried away by making random hand configurations and claiming that he's made an ambulance, helicopter, or even a double helix. Davis has always enjoyed shapes, and amazes us by how much he pays attention to his surroundings by pointing them out. He's just a fun little guy to be around!

Davis seems to have a sixth sense for toy cars and he always checks them over with a keen eye each one brings him enjoyment and countless hours of fun he loads them into other vehicles, likes the differences in sizes, sometimes searches for lost cars with his Thomas flashlight, and always has a flair for the dramatics (saving his remote from the runaway train)
