A fun month, for sure!  School field trips, good test scores, not too many chores, new friends, and nice weather!

Much love to our tail-wagging member of the family! It's your birthday, Shiloh!  Happy 5th!

We're starting-off with a Thanksgiving breakfast!  (cinnamon roll turkey)   So very thankful for family near & far on this special day!

without any photos to post.   What to do?   School is out for Thanksgiving. DJ was going to be available for photos all day.  He even said that he would have a good attitude about wardrobe changes & "picture patience." Initially, the weather looked like it was going to cooperate. On the way to our first stop, it started to rain. Oh, well. We tried. As suddenly as the rain started, it stopped. The overcast skies remained.   What to do?   Let's get started with some new photos!

to some Holiday-themed photos We have a few locations in mind and a few festive shirts at the ready We'll pick a day with less intense sunlight DJ is ready for a little picture-taking fun!

It involves opening a fancily-wrapped present -early- and, sea creatures! A new addition! Thanks, Aunt Holly!

We went around the corner for a nice visit. A tasty meal & a furry friend. On the way back home, DJ spotted this wriggly critter: Huuuge!

Looking good, DJ!

It's Davis' favorite day of the school week! Tuesday's = Physical Education class at his school. He likes the coach & all of the fun and different activities. From parachute play to prison games. Wait... What the what? Usually, when Davis is talking about his day at school, we listen passively while fixing his snack. "You played a prison game at school?" "Yes. It's kinda like dodgeball. Only different." "I hope it was a lot different! No, wait. I hope it was not that different. Ok, just tell me all about this prison game." Turns-out, of course, the prison game is an innocuous version of dodgeball with the added element of a "jail". Davis explained all of the intricacies & strategies of the game while eating his snack of applesauce. After he finished, Davis showed me how to pick a lock with the plastic spoon & some dental floss.   Kidding.

You were all about that action! Go Hawks! April, 2015

Sometimes the routine afterschool activities can suddenly change. With or without notice.   The completion of chores is a serious responsibility. Repercussions for unfinished work is swift and unrelenting.   The world can be an unkind place.   Here's your chore box, DJ: (he's not too thrilled)     Inside the box: DJ got pranked! It's the newly-released, Volume 10 DWK book!

Such awesome memories from the World Series! It all began with crazy, unexpected news: Raul went straight from Springdale to the Kansas City Royals! We considered giving DJ a full-sleeve sharpie tattoo as a celebration for the promotion. DJ's most recent tatt was from Raul, himself -before his last game at Arvest Ballpark. The next morning, Davis woke-up early & scrubbed it off -after we had joked about getting it permanently inked on his arm.   DJ had a chance to have a permanent connection to baseball history.   After 110 years of the World Series, nobody had ever played their first Major League game on its biggest stage -until Raul did it.   Of course, the WS games were riveting & so very Royal in every way! DJ was thrilled to see all of the former Naturals  that he's been cheering for since 2008! Like Mike Moustakas & Paulo Orlando & Christian Colon & Cheslor Cuth...
