A Trip 2 Remember

Lot's of fun memories! Sunny & cool (most of the time) A few nights we had to bundle-up! Awesome Lego experience! It's #5 Chorizo! (famous racing sausage of the Milwaukee Brewers) The sandy shores of Lake Michigan! The day after our beach experience:  13 foot waves. Nice scenery without much crowding Neat Braves' history in Milwaukee. 1957 World Series Champions (they moved to Atlanta in '66) $280 Game-Worn Jersey (if you are wearing Harry Caray glasses, you can have a photo taken with the jersey for free) It's the iconic Building #1 Miller Park was Awesome & a Great Value! If we had an extra week of vacation, spending an entire home series in Milwaukee would be inexpensive, fun, & very tasty! Good job, Downtown & Lakefront Chicago! Massive landscaped plantings seemed to be everywhere! Wait! Back that up! (or, as Davis used to say, "Re-past Forward!") It'...

Nature Center

It's time for our quarterly trip to the Janet Huckabee River Valley Nature Center! With a fresh hair cut & cool weather, we are ready for a fun visit! The parking lot was crowded, but with nice weather, there's plenty of room for good viewing! Seriously. He's getting so tall. Sometimes the spider got caught is his own web. Relaxing fun. It was bear-ly warmer outside than it was inside. We will be back in October!

@ US Cellular Field

It's the home of the Chicago White Sox! We were overtly cheering for the visiting Kansas City Royals! Thanks to Mike Moustakas, the Royals got the lead early, and ended-up routing the home team! They have ivy in the outfield here, too. (Not sure what Cubs fans think about this 'tradition-borrowing' from the iconic ivy of Wrigley Field) They may have borrowed the ivy idea, but preserving an old shower stall in the concourse is probably going remain a US Cellular Field original. Davis' game ticket was for seat #8. (Moustakas wears #8) It was Greek heritage night at the ballpark. Davis got to meet Moose before the game, he signed a baseball, and then came back for a photo. Moose went 3 for 5 at the plate with 2 HRs. White Sox fans were giving Davis high-fives during the game. It was an awesome game experience! A ballpark review/critique/rant about US Cellular Field: 1. Give baseball fans Comiskey Park back. Yes...

@ Miller Park

It's the home of the Milwaukee Brewers! The massive retractable-roof stadium is located on the outskirts of downtown Milwaukee A very picturesque, waterfront city with classic & modern architectural styles. The famous racing sausage mascots greet fans showing-up early for batting practice! Davis was an under-cover Reds fan for our visit to Miller Park. (Navy blue & gold are the Brewers' colors) We didn't want to get run-off from any of the fantastic tailgating! These professionals are setting-up tents  & cooking at least 4 hours before the first pitch of the ballgame.    Tailgating in Milwaukee It simply doesn't get any better. The smells are terrific! Brewer Fans are a welcoming, and thirsty breed! Lot's of fun/neat stuff! Miller Park was DJ's favorite ballpark,  of the 3 MLB parks we visited this summer. Fun stuff for kids! Miller Park is also the best value ( by far ) ...

@ Legoland Discovery Chicago

It's where Everything is Awesome! The amazement started in the parking lot! It's not too often when DJ enjoys having his photo taken. Neat themes! Fun challenges! Famous figures! Amazingly, there are no "hands-off"  or "don't touch" signs anywhere! Lot's of inspirations for a Lego master builder. Geniuses.
