Hello!

Many people we know have said they receive phone calls from Davis. He can be very sneaky when we leave a phone within his reach (which is expanding everyday). His cell phone picture-taking has improved a lot, with all of his practice. In-between phone calls, Davis passes the time with his books and running laps around the house. We do apologize if Davis' phone calls are bothersome.

Weekend Chores

Davis finished his guitar lesson early so he could help Mommy clean-up inside. He wasn't too disappointed, because he really likes to help-out! He can really handle the broom! Later, Davis helped Daddy outside (estimated time of completion for the concrete path- fall 2010). Finally, Davis organized all of his toys and deposited his allowance money in his piggy bank

Moon!

Davis is really enthusiastic about seeing the Moon. He looks for it every evening in the sky before he goes to bed (sometimes when it's still daylight). There was a stretch of time with all of the clouds that he went weeks without seeing it. Poor little guy had almost given-up looking for it. Then one night at Target we found it- a Moon in a box to put on his wall! Now,  Davis can see the Moon whenever he wants!  It even has a remote control (another bonus for Davis) and lights-up fully, or in different phases. Here's the little astronomer with his very own Moon.

Happy Birthday A.C.!

Davis had a great time at AC's birthday party! AC turned 4 years old and Davis helped him celebrate in style at Chuck E. Cheese. Everyone had a great time with good food and fun games. Thanks to Uncle Lance and Aunt Lisa for inviting us!

New Haircut

Davis and I went to get our hair cut this morning at Fort Chaffee. Lisa has been cutting my hair there since I joined the Guard in 93. Davis did very well in the chair and enjoyed the mirrors. We couldn't get him to say "Elvis" (Lisa has a collection of Elvis stuff in the barbershop- he got his first military haircut at Chaffee) -there's always next time. We went next door to the PX and found some shorts that will fit him better next summer. the serious look happy about looking less shaggy

@ Oklahoma Aquarium!

This morning we went on a search to find Nemo. We decided the Okie Aquarium  in Jenks would be a good place to start. Davis is one happy dude wearing his new 'nemo-orange'  monkey shirt (Babies R Us in Tulsa) He got in free because he was so cute. He saw seahorses, & even gave a gar a "nosey" DJ saw a scary alligator... ...and at the very end... ...Davis noticed a happy little fish  in a very big tank... ...could it be?... He had to lean-in close for a better look-  just to make sure. Nemo! Davis slept all the way home-  very content about seeing his favorite buddy in person!

@ TASM!

Tulsa Air and Space Museum! Davis stayed awake for the entire trip to Tulsa- amazing. He sang his new songs (shoo fly and do-do-do) and saw a lot of big trucks and cows. We were concerned he might fall asleep in the museum. Once we got inside, Wow! -AIRPLANES! It was almost too much for the little guy to handle. There were plenty of buttons for him to push and things for him to climb. Before climbing into the pilot seat of the F14 Tomcat, all flyers have to go through ejector-seat training Next, Davis was ready to blast-off- checking-out a replica lunar module (his favorite exhibit) and the scale-model space shuttle Davis and Mommy orbit the Earth! We also went to the planetarium next to the museum. Davis enjoyed looking at the stars and the moon for half an hour while we were inside the theater some out-takes from his space suit endeavor
