Happy Valentine's Day!

It's always a fun holiday for Davis! He's waiting for the mail truck to bring more valetines! (thanks for all the cards!) (this is probably the last year Daddy is allowed to dress Davis for any special occasion) Davis thought the outfit was kinda fun. Hugs & Kisses!

Hockey Pucks for Breakfast?

Mommy has been in Little Rock for the past few days. So Daddy and Davis have been in survival mode. Living off the land. Anything to avoid cooking on the stove. All was well until this morning. Davis asked for pancakes. Daddy panics and offers a rational explanation: "we're all out of pancakes." Davis opens the cabinet door and points to the pancake mix. Daddy asks Davis to find the fire extinguisher and open the windows. Simple directions with idiot-proof pictures on the box. What could possibly go wrong? Wrongness. (the only one that didn't resemble a hockey puck) Another problem- no syrup. (grocery lists are important, Daddy forgot) Obviously, it's more than a problem, it's a potential tragedy.... what to do? the solution. hmm. Daddy is a number one cook! yummy. mag-nifico! (Mommy please hurry home!)

Constitution Park

it's located on Chaffee Crossing and offers lots of fun for the big boy! keeping good balance keeping an eye out while going over the bridge always time for dancing! having fun on the swing spotting the first jonquil blooms of the year! a handful of rocks and a pocket full of wishes checking-out the splash rings from some well-aimed rocks will the fun ever end? time to go... (and missing Mommy) Daddy has a special dinner planned. (a can of spaghetti-o's and applesauce)

Backyard Fun

Davis loves being outdoors. With the warmer weather, we can go outside more often! The doggies miss seeing their buddy. He's heard stories of a neighborhood kid who can jump over two chunks of wood and a rock. He starts with one chunk of wood. He has a lot of fun showing-off his balancing skills. Looking for a few early-blooming forsythia can be fun too. He's found one. "It's right there on the stick!" some outtakes: sorry, we can't eat the flower... we can't pick it, either.

The PJ Blues

While picking-up in his room before bedtime, Davis found his one-man band box. The kit includes a tambourine, a shaker, and a harmonica. He had never tried playing the harmonica before, but within a few minutes, he was treating Mommy and Daddy to quite an impressive show! The PJ Blues as performed by Davis:

The Fly Swatter

Davis doesn't enjoy flies at all. Over time, he's put together quite a repertoire of different techniques for dispatching those annoying pests: the statue the backhand the gymnast

Bookworm

Davis loves books. Anytime is a good time for reading, but bedtime is his favorite. He has a nice collection of books, thanks to family and friends. Davis occasionally likes to show-off by selecting a book, curling-up in the big chair, and 'reading' out loud. It is amusing and fascinating at the same time. The stories sometimes get richly embellished, and his sentence structure has gotten noticeably more developed. Mommy and Daddy are happy that he enjoys books, and that he continues to have a positive attitude towards learning!
