Time Capsule

What to keep in a time capsule? It's more like a memory box, since we open/close it every so often.   Davis has several items inside that he may (or may not) find interesting in the future (such as the remnants of a $5 bill that Shiloh attempted to eat).   The most recent 'deposit' into the time capsule was from Lego Land Discovery. It contains the small, inscribed giveaway brick from the "factory tour" and a receipt from a gift shop purchase. Davis wrote a note that he believes "Legos will cost less in the future." He will definitely be surprised when he returns in a few decades.     Some items are to be opened on certain dates. There's a Lego Movie Sequel envelope with his predictions about the characters. It also contains an original (unopened) Lego Movie mini-figure -to be opened on the date of the 2nd movie's theater opening in 2017.   Another item is an example...

Knugget of Knowledge

misc kc

KC is the Crown City of Fountains!  When the weather turns cold, ice skating seems to be the Royal thing to do. Until then, nothing beats the Herrera-like heat like a refreshing, continual mist! Davis recognized a few landmarks from his Lego Land experience! It's TV, Royal Style: 100 feet tall & High Definition (Davis says the Lego version is just as cool) Arrowhead Stadium! (no wading, no plunging) It's a Crayola Café! (we didn't eat there, but did find it interesting) Keep it Fountain-tastic, Kansas City!

@ William Rockhill Nelson Gallery of Art

The inside of the museum was closed, but there's so much to explore on the outside! Walking trails! A tricky, glass-wall maze! A Crystal Bridges-like tree! Where's Davis? DJ says he can replicate this sculpture, he just needs more Legos. Wait until you see the size of the racquet. Obviously, art can encompass any emotion. We could have spent an entire day viewing all of the outdoor exhibits! On our return visit, we'll schedule an entire day when the museum is open!
