Sunny Afternoon

It was nice weather for being outside this weekend, so we planned a mini-outing at Chaffee.

A dead-end road with a bridge over a stream, a little hill, and a small patch of daffodils made for an ideal spot for the little boy to run around and explore.

Quite a few of the daffodils by the burned-down barracks did return, but there's some work being done in the area, so we steered clear.

Davis is fascinated with shadows.

Just mention the word, and he starts waving his hand, looking around for it.

He's a pretty inventive little dude, finding places where he can race his cars -fast.

We had to literally drag Davis off this hill

(after he had run up and down at least half a dozen times).

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
