a morning program to remember

Davis knew something was going to be different during his school's morning program when he spied mommy & daddy in the cafeteria. He might have winked a few times at us, but he stayed with his classmates. It was a different experience for us watching Davis interact with his teachers and other students.

Awesome!
Davis had known about his award for quite a while.
His picture along with a short bio had been posted
on the bulletin board at the entrance to the school
since the beginning of the month.
We didn't find out about it until Friday.

WHAT?
We both had cameras, and we were ready to take a video of the award presentation. The Student of the Month awards started suddenly, and Davis was the first, so we missed it. Then we were really caught off guard when his principal announced the Super Citizen award. Only one of these awards are given each month to a student in the school. The principal said it was the first time that the Super Citizen award was presented to a Pre K student.

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
