Davis passed his first test!
He memorized ten sightwords!
He must have felt a lot of pressure today leading-up to the test.
We try to make learning fun, but he's on his own in the class room.
(Davis does have a wonderful teacher, though...
and, a big thanks to his Pre K teachers too!)
Even if he wasn't able to pass the first time,
we knew he could do it eventually.
But, we had a sneaking suspicion that he would pass today.
He had a positive attitude and a determined walk
going into the school building this morning.
Davis did it!
He passed on his first try!
The first few weeks of Kindergarten were tough.
New routines, different surroundings.
With everything else, and he still manages to learn his words.
We are so very proud of our boy!!!!!
Now, he's reaping the rewards of all the hard work-
(it involved a bunch of Hot Wheels cars
and a special reward that will require some assembly).
(Mom is the assembly-required expert! -thank you!)
It's on to the second set!
