Davis passed the final Sight Word Set!
Here he is at school this morning with his certificate:
So proud of our big learner!
(Davis is the first boy in his class to pass all 43,
only 2 girls were a little faster)
Over 400 words!
From short & easy sight words (a)
to funny ones (but -not that one, the other but)
to the more challenging (exclaimed).
His mastery of sight words has significantly
boosted his ever-expanding reading abilities!
He did a lot of hard work,
and kept a positive attitude the whole time.
We practiced different strategies,
and relaxation techniques -so all of the
test-taking would be less stressful.
And, he even managed to have
more than a few milkshakes along the way!
(we did impose a limit of only one per week-
he passed 8 tests over the last two weeks!)
after school, a special reward bag was waiting:
