Say Ahh...

...a look back at the past year inside the D-monster's mouth: November 2006                   December 2006 March 2007                    May 2007 August 2007                November 2007

Check out my room!

Davis likes the tarantula poster on the back of his closet door. It came with the remote controlled spider that only has seven legs now. Davis shows that he's not even the slightest bit afraid to touch it either. The zebra is a mainstay in the corner of the room. He thinks it's still pretty cool. The bag of blocks. He's been doing better about taking some of them out and then putting them back in the bag. Davis used to dump all of them out, and scatter them everywhere -kinda like he was emplacing mini speed bumps that would hinder emergency diaper changes. Davis has plans to ask Santa for a more challenging basketball goal. Note the fake orange at the bottom of the goal that somehow was negotiated out of the kitchen. (Santa has taken care of a new goal already) Amazingly, Davis is able to find a space in his room for dancing. He h...

New Coat

Davis has a nice warm coat for this winter, but a lot of times he's in such a hurry to go outside, that he doesn't want to put on a jacket or a coat. It took both mommy and daddy working together to get his socks, shoes, and coat on him for a stroller walk around the neighborhood. He wouldn't tell us where he hid his mittens, so he was asked to keep his hands in his coat pockets. Davis doesn't know what to think of the weather changes either. Some days it has been warm, other days bitter cold. Davis will start understanding more about the winter cold, and that a warm coat will help him have a more enjoyable outdoor experience. Davis waves bye bye to warm weather.

Giddy Up!

Davis has had the giddy up horse for a while, but it's still a little too big for him to climb up on it himself. It has been kept in mommy's office, so whenever the door is open, Davis rushes in and sweetly begs to ride it. He can get going really fast, laughing and smiling the whole time. It's just as much fun for mommy and daddy to watch him! Davis concentrates and goes really fast! Thanks Papa and Nana!

Creekmore Park

We went to the park after the Christmas parade for some time on the big slide. Davis is a connoisseur of slides, and Creekmore has some good ones. There's also a big twisty slide that he calls the Super Slide. For at least 10 minutes, Davis went up the stairs by himself, then down the big slide -fast! By the time we got to the swings, he was almost completely exhausted. It's a good thing he has a indoor slide at home to continually train to improve his level of conditioning! Davis knows to maintain 3 points of contact at all times when going up the stairs. Down the Big Slide -very fast! It took both mommy and daddy to manage Davis on the Super Slide, so unfortunately, we didn't get any photos (he does tell a good story about though!) Here's Davis all smiles on the bouncing thing.

Christmas Parade

Davis keeps in step with the mighty Northside Grizzly Marching Band! Papa helped Davis score a frisbee! With all of the music, Davis frequently had to break-out a dance (mommy bribed Davis with a sucker to say that Southside is #1) Davis wonders what will come around the corner next Giant Cows throwing beads, of course! taking candy from a stranger! Davis gets a wave from Santa The UAFS Band was awesome! one of the biggest suckers Davis has ever had! (he found it to be just a little tart) We can't wait till the next parade!
