Baseball Practice

Mommy is out of town this week,
so it's time to start indoor baseball practice.

Davis started with the basic
rules of baseball:
Rule #1:
The Ball Is Not Made of Candy

-we spent a long time on this fundamental.
(not a squishy-ball, it's a real baseball
-actual size, weight & hardness)
Rule #2:
Even though it's not made of candy,
we can still have fun with the ball

(after all, the most important part
of any practice is having fun!!!)
Rule #3:
 Warming-up is important
(since he has never thrown with one arm before,
we had to start with the two-arm throw)
Rule #4:
Knuckle Ball Pitchers Rule!
(he was able to master the knuckle ball grip very quickly)
Rule #5:
Focus.
And, never forget those that helped
you along the way!
We will, of course, love you no matter what.
However, we do expect some monetary payback
for those extra-stinky diaper changes.
DJ's got it!

A message to any Major League Baseball team:
If you think you might be interested in a
left-handed knuckle ball pitcher in 15 years,
Davis is willing to sign now for a Hot Wheels Car
and some chocolate pudding.

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
