@ Turner Field!

Davis' first Major League Ballpark experience!

We even had a fantastic experience getting to the ballpark:
Atlanta Subway System: (MARTA, they don't use the obvious acronym for some reason) it's cheap, easy -and the boy loves it! (not all of the ride is underground)...and, panhandlers only ask for 87 cents (large signs warn patrons not to give a single dollar to beggars)
Atlanta Underground: it's a mall area filled with music, shops, restaurants, kiosks, art, and antique cars... 'can't-miss' signs direct subway riders to the complimentary stadium shuttle, which is at the opposite end of the naturally-cooled underground area (Davis even danced a jig to the music -just so he can say that he's 'been there, done that'
Complimentary Shuttle: it's free, fast, & orderly -but that's not the best part. Before driving out of the parking lot, the bus stops and 4 well-dressed gentlemen board the bus. They commence to sing 'Take me out to the Ballgame' in perfectly-awesome barbershop quartet style. Everybody cheers, and the quartet exits the bus to wait on the next. Our ballpark experience was made before we even arrived!
Thank You, Atlanta!
Gotta be game ready:
DJ practiced the tomahawk chop in the hotel room!

We love you, Bobby!
Thanks for '95!

Incredible... the  715 ball:
DJ is amazed by the high-resolution photo of
Hammerin' Hank Aaron's home run ball from 1974
that broke Babe Ruth's record of 714 career round-trippers

our seats were way up high!
if it rained, we would have stayed dry!
(we saw a good amount of rain every day on our trip,
whereas FS stayed dry...extremely dry)
we could see Olympic landmarks that were
built in ancient times! (according to Davis)
a little different than what we're used to seeing in Springdale

say it ain't so:
He has announced that he will be retiring
after the season.
we didn't move from our seats every time the Braves
were up to bat...No way were we going to miss
a plate appearance by #10
not to be critical, but...
(the field, especially the outer grassy reaches of the base paths, looked like it would benefit from Monty & Ruby's expertise -the Naturals' grounds-keeping gurus)
 Chipper!!!
Win or lose, baseball makes for an awesome night!

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
