Hat Day

It's Drug Free Week at Davis' school.
Of course, every week is drug-free, but the students get to make a whole week special by dressing-up in different themes for each day. Davis really enjoys dress-up days, and remembers fun things about them for a long time. He still talks about Nerd Day from last year. He wasn't too keen about dressing-up like a nerd at first, but by the end of the day, he was really having an enjoyable time. Davis has been a little concerned if there will ever be another Nerd Day. There should be at least one more dress-up week later in the school year during the basketball season...or, will there be a Nerd Day later this week???
Happy about the Special Week!

In other news...
Ever since his stint in jail, Baby Monkey has been a regular for the ride to school:
(Baby Monkey is so glad the rules have changed. Previously, Baby M was subject to jail time if there was one 'below the line' on Davis' behavior card. Now, it takes back-to-back 'below the lines' for monkey-incarceration procedures to begin. The new deal was agreed upon after Davis proved he could get 'above the line' in back-to-back weeks. He has pledged to Baby Monkey in a solemn promise that he will never have to go back to jail)

Nerd Day '11
will there be an encore appearance?

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
