Block Party

During the Block Party at DJ's school, we were leaving the bounce-arounds when the announcement blared, "Coach P's students will now perform their dance routine." I figured it was the 3rd & 4th Graders, since Davis hadn't said anything about learning dance moves during PE. Kids began assembling, and many of them looked to be Davis' size. I asked, "Do you know anything about this?" Then the music started. Davis didn't respond to my question. He just started walking and got into a spot in the dance formation:

It was a total surprise to see him dancing. Davis will usually balk and act shy when asked to perform in front of people. And, there was a lot of people at the block party. He could have easily told me that he didn't know about the dance, and we would have kept walking.
After the song ended, Davis had a big smile on his face.
Awesome!

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
