Let's Go Naturals!

Back to our favorite Ballpark!

Better than Yankee Stadium?
It's a tough comparison, but we'll try.
DJ has grown-up at the ballpark.
Well, sorta.
He first started attending games
at Arvest Ballpark's
inaugural season in 2008.

Better than Yankee Stadium?
Both were under construction in 2007.
Building Arvest Ballpark cost
$1.5 billion less than Yankee Stadium.
Arvest doesn't have sushi or TV's
embedded in the restroom mirrors, but...
It does have an open,
baseball-first atmosphere.
Winner.
Seats close to the grill are ideal!

Better than Yankee Stadium?
Field-level seats at Arvest for $8 are nice.
Being a part of it -in New York City-
where tipping more than the price
of a ticket at Arvest Ballpark
-is expected for in-seat meal service.
Field-level seats at Yankee Stadium
are awesome, over-the-top,
best-in-baseball.
Winner.
Ready for baseball!
We can stay connected with updated rosters,
random trivia fact-checking, and Minecraft.

Better than Yankee Stadium?
Arvest has free WiFi.
Winner.
It's Sinker the Lake Creature!

Better than Yankee Stadium?
The Yankee baseball organization has
been in continuous operation since 1901.
They purportedly attempt to maximize
the baseball atmosphere
for fans of all ages.
At no time in the Yankees' history
have they employed a mascot.
Arvest Ballpark has two.
Winner. Winner.
Even in chilly weather,
(with rain in the forecast)
it's always a good day to be
at the ballpark!

Better than Yankee Stadium?
Arvest is usually a relaxed atmosphere.
The stadium is surrounded by pastures.
Yankee Stadium is intense.
It feels like the entire city is focused
on the stadium.
And, it's loud.
The sound system at Yankee stadium
has a setting that goes to 11.
Between innings, they 'rock-out'
the YMCA song and Cotton Eyed Joe.
Arvest's sound system can't go to 11,
but they play good music.
Winner.
Orlando Calixte!

Better than Yankee Stadium?
Orlando Calixte has a
2015 World Series Championship ring.
No active-roster Yankee does.
Orlando plays at Arvest Ballpark.
Winner.
Staying warm & dry!

Better than Yankee Stadium?
Until late July & August.
90 degrees at 9pm with 90% humidity
is a tough sell.
Usually, there's a nice breeze
that enters the open concourse
and blows across the field.
Yankee Stadium is a fully-closed,
stagnant bowl of heat & humidity
during the late summer months.
Arvest schedules a few games
each year that start in the morning.
Summertime breakfast at the ballpark
beats the heat.
Winner.
Celebrating a Naturals' victory
with Strike the Sasquatch!

Better than Yankee Stadium.
Winner.

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
