Davis has started developing his basketball skills with his new goal. It takes a little bit of time to clear the floor in his room for practice, and he's learned that picking-up his toys can be fun too. Davis often chooses one of his stuffed animals to cheer and hang out during practice. He likes picking up the ball and shooting it, but he also enjoys training on the fundamentals. Davis demonstrates how he trains to master the 2 handed pass Davis shows that an improper follow-thru will often result in a missed shot Davis has perfected a smooth shooting motion with an excellent follow-thru (he's working on not taunting his opponent after a slam dunk)

Davis didn't know what to think of this present when it was first opened. He recognized the puppy dog face, but there was still something odd. Maybe he's used to puppy dogs that lick and run around. It was put into the laundry, and Davis used it for the first time last night. It's extremely warm, and Davis loves checking himself out in the mirror! He now has big ears just like his little buddy Marley.

and hang-out your tongue! Davis has figured out his new toy really fast! He was a little frustrated at first, but now, he can spin himself like a pro. Of course he has to add some dramatic gestures and sound effects to make it a totally fun experience. You can notice in the photos when Daddy has morning duty with Davis by his clothes (what's going on with those socks?). All that matters is that they both enjoy their time together (and at least he's wearing clean stuff). Mr. Drama in action new haircut, new shirt, and clean socks

We thought it was going to be a simple visit to see a choo-choo train. It turned out to be a lot more! Davis was more interested in the train tracks, walking up and down, chattering up a storm. Then the airplanes started flying overhead -big ones. Then he noticed the big circles (R X R signs). It was almost too much for the little guy to handle. Davis really liked the railroad ties. The more he walked, the more of them he noticed -a limitless potential of entertainment and exercise! It's a trian engine that is being restored, and hopefully won't be going anywhere for a long time! Big time amazement for a simple sign. Little guy meets big choo choo train. We'll probably be regular visitors to the Chaffee rail yard!

2008! Davis didn't stay up till midnight, he had to get some good sleep to get into game mode for the early kickoff of the Cotton Bowl! Go Hogs Go!

Sometimes Davis likes a little snack while he's watching football games with Daddy. Since he finished-off two helpings of applesauce, Davis was due for a special treat! A chocolate cookie was presented, and the D-monster snapped it up and managed to get some of it in his mouth. Davis doesn't have too much time for football, he's been busy with all of his new toys and books. It's a very good thing to have a lot of fun entertainment around with the cold temperatures outside (although Mommy and Davis did bundle up and go for a stroller ride around the neighborhood this afternoon). Davis' newest word is 'dog-gone-it' -he kind of drags it out with a dramatic tone after he misses a shot on his new basketball goal. Yesterday in the car, Davis put together his longest sentence to date: "I don't know where Monkey is". We usually keep Monkey's identical twin in the car as a travel buddy, but somehow, Davis snuck it inside the house. He now slee...

Going Super Fast! W e travelled up the road to Spinghill Park (at the lock and dam on Hwy 59) and found some super slides! Davis was thrilled with all the different slides to go down and ladders to climb. Even though he wasn't wearing his fast pants, Davis still had a great time! (we'll have to remember to keep a pair in the Jeep). There are two play areas, Davis preferred the one closer to the river (keep veering left after the gate and go under the bridge). He could see the water from the top of the sildes, and the playground set had a little swinging bridge that he loved running across. There was one slide that was too steep of a drop, Davis really wanted to try it, but daddy was too scared to try it himself. It's a challenge trying to keep a fearless slider under control, but mommy helped with the spotting, catching, lifting, and picture taking too.
