A little trim

Well, maybe more than just a little trim. Ok, it might be just as short as his summer haircut. Sure, those red marks are razor burns, but they'll heal-up just fine. The main objective was that Davis enjoy his experiences at the barber shop, and he's having a good time going to Chaffee. Davis noticed a photo of a race car on the wall, and it turns-out that Lisa "sponsors" 3 cars that race at Tri-State (free hair cuts for the drivers and she gets a sticker on their car). So the little boy has some incentive to get his race car driving thing started -ASAP!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

He's been reading-up on all the latest astronaut tricks: and he's been sampling on a few treats, so Davis is ready for Halloween this year!

Starting at Center...

At 3 feet, 2 inches... #95 Davis Jim! For some reason, Mommy is not fired-up about the NBA season that has just started. Even with the OKC Thunder (last year's Seattle SuperSonics) within easy driving distance. Davis kinda likes basketball, and had a blast running around the court at chaffee when we stopped-by there after school today!

Frontier Days

Davis was in disbelief with all of the tents, the big bridge going over the river, horses, and people running around wearing costumes! He found a nice spot high up on the hill. He watched big kids compete in sack-hop races and heard a lot of motorcycles driving close by. We walked some of the River Trail with Davis in the stroller, but he ran a lot of it by himself. We know the more he runs, the longer nap he will take, and he really enjoys getting the exercise! Once he figured-out that the stagecoach kept returning to the same point, he re-positioned himself to a better spot on the hill. He liked the horses, but didn't want to get too close to them. Next week we're going to the Lavaca Loco-Fun Daze! (making that up...it just seems that we've been to a few events lately)

Balloon Festival

Saturday morning Davis and I ventured out to Poteau, without the GPS, but didn't have too much trouble spotting the Airplane signs on the highway, which led us right to the Poteau Airport. I was looking for Hot Air Balloons in the sky. But once again on our quest to find one to ride in, we missed them. They came out first thing, and then would be back at dusk for the Balloon Glow. We had high hopes of seeing these while we were there. But Davis was brave enough to ride some rides by himself for the first time ever. I was so proud of him for being such a big boy about it. I asked the man not to put him in a purple dragon... but Davis didn't seem to mind. Checking out some of the aircraft near by.... there's an airplane in this pic somewhere... Always a good day when we see a Helicopter!

Trunk or Treat at CTK...

Thanks to the Crooks for inviting us to the Trunk or Treat at CTK. We had a great time, Davis was all about the candy this year, just wanting to stop and eat what he had before moving on to the next TRUNK~ It was great practice for this Friday!

Old Applegate was a bust...

It was a beautiful weekend and all we talked about was going to ride the Hot Air Balloon. We loaded up Sunday Morning and headed up the pig trail to take it for a ride. Only to find when we get there at 10am... they are packing it up. Davis was really disappointed and Mommy had to explain to him that it must be broken and maybe this weekend we'll go to the Balloon Festival in Poteau. The tractor ride was pretty cool...  and he really loved just being outside~ I just love this pic! So handsome!
