Frontier Days

Davis was in disbelief with all of the tents, the big bridge going over the river, horses, and people running around wearing costumes!
He found a nice spot high up on the hill.
He watched big kids compete in sack-hop races and heard a lot of motorcycles driving close by. We walked some of the River Trail with Davis in the stroller, but he ran a lot of it by himself. We know the more he runs, the longer nap he will take, and he really enjoys getting the exercise!
Once he figured-out that the stagecoach kept returning to the same point, he re-positioned himself to a better spot on the hill. He liked the horses, but didn't want to get too close to them.
Next week we're going to the Lavaca Loco-Fun Daze!
(making that up...it just seems that we've been to a few events lately)

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
