Davis has fun with his Eric Carle alphabet flash cards, even though some of the animals are a little foreign to Mommy and Daddy. We had never heard of a xolo before (short for Xoloitzcuintli, the Mexican hairless dog, or so says Mr. Carle). There was also a protracted debate on how 'quetzal' should be pronounced. By a flip of the coin, (surely not by any fundamental difference in schooling) Mommy's SHS Spanish experience trumped Daddy's encounter with French class at PBHS.
Davis thinks that some animals are funnier than others, and sometimes will miss one on purpose (which adds to the fun of the routine). We're starting to work on the letter side of the flash cards, but we're also thinking that we might want to try to reserve some of his brain power to get started on his potty training.
