[WARNING: Mommy and/or Daddy's editorial rant]
So, is it starting today that we stop seeing all of those annoying announcements about the switch to digital TV? And, all of the 'breaking news crawls' about the "countdown to the conversion" on the bottom of the screen. And, watching the local news people report about it day after day. It went on for a over year -pure madness.
Two thoughts:
1. Everyone could have been spared the conversion craziness if NASA had just sent a team of specialists to spend a week explaining the switch (in person) to each of the 37 people in the US that don't have cable or satellite TV.
2. A missed opportunity to make a billion dollars: If someone would have invented a converter box to convert all of those messages into Gregorian chant videos (or anything else).
After months of hard work, Davis has successfully converted his analog TV antennae to receive a digital signal (and he's a little rattled from listening to [Mommy and/or Daddy] rant).
