Davis continues to work hard to stay on Santa's Nice List. As everyone knows, Santa's elves are not only responsible for making toys, they sometimes collect first-hand information to determine Naughty or Nice. Davis reports that he has heard of an actual elf being spotted inside his classroom. At home or at school, these next few weeks are critical to avoid a lump of coal under the Christmas tree. Extra chores around the house? -no problem, Davis is up to the task. He even understands that helping-out with a positive attitude is important. An extra smile has been known to make the difference between a HotWheels car and a Kingsford charcoal briquette. Davis often smiles at the thought of being able to help-out with anything. He will be 7 years old soon, and already, more is expected of him. Bigger jobs that require muscles, as well as an increase in the number of easy jobs. Simple jobs often require extra attention, however. For example, opening the door for Shiloh to go potty: "You should always wait for her tail to go past before closing the door" -very good advice, Davis. "Always ask an adult before flooding something for snorkeling." Again, it's this level of thoughtfulness that should keep Davis off Santa's Naughty List.
