...and exhale...

With busy, busy schedules and the seemingly-never-going-to-end heat, we really miss our 'photo-excursions.' Being able to take a 5 or 10 minute detour on our way somewhere makes for good relaxation (and good blog posting material).

Starting school is naturally a big adjustment from the summer schedule. Davis has been a great help making the transition relatively easy. He has been extra-cooperative with his earlier bedtime, and keeping his room fairly organized. He really enjoys helping-out!

These last few scorching-hot weeks were not welcomed. Added-in was the extra-drippy humidity. It was like an over-bearing heat 'hug.' Even in the shade, there was no escape. Uncomfortable, annoying, and makes us so very appreciative for a preview of fall-type weather.

comfortable outdoor serenity!
It's a preview of more things to come!
Fall is our favorite season for taking photos for the blog.
Since we can be outside for more than 10 minutes
without any heat-related complaints.
It's fun to have more than 4 four photos
to choose from, when putting-together
a post for the blog.
Davis is a real trooper with the picture-taking.
Really, it's all he knows.
And, with all of the advances in
technology, we can shoot, edit, and post
in mere minutes.
(boring details, but we have experienced & learned a lot
since that first post -so long ago!)
Enjoy.
Our little preview of DJ's Fall Season on the blog.
Will it really be different and/or exciting?
Maybe not.
But we'll have fun.
Share a few genuine smiles.

(a few 'over-the-top' smiles)
and, some true inflections.

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
