Book Fair!

It's the yearly Book Fair at Davis' school!
So neat to see such a big deal being made about books.
It has become a tradition that we stop at the cool hanging quilt across from the library with his newly purchased book:
The library has a program where money can be donated to either buy books for your student's classroom, or the money can go to a student in the school that cannot afford to buy any books. We posed the question to Davis: money for books in his class, or money for books to a kid that doesn't have much money. He gave a quick response. Give the money that will go to the kid. Even though Davis will never know exactly who he helped out, he's more than OK knowing that he helped someone.

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
