@ Bricktown Ballpark

Bricktown Ballpark is home to the
Oklahoma City Dodgers
(AAA affiliate of the
Los Angeles Dodgers)
The stadium is located on a street named for
a particularly famous Okie ballplayer.
Homeruns leaving the ballpark
seem to find windows along
Power Alley quite frequently.
Great baseball history all around!
The Omaha Storm Chasers
(AAA affiliate of the Kansas City Royals)
were the visiting team for
a perfect-weather afternoon game!
We, of course, know several
Omaha Storm Chasers.
 The majority of the roster
has been promoted from the
NWA Naturals in Springdale
(AA affiliate of the Kansas City Royals)
OKC is not too far away!
3 hours, straight down I-40
We enjoyed a constant, cool breeze
for most of the game!
Check-out the hotel in left field!
Mickey Mantle's name & likeness
can be found everywhere in the ballpark
A surprise visit from #24!
Cheslor Cuthbert!
A cool autograph from fellow lefty,
#13 Buddy Baumann!
DJ was at the front of the line
to race around the bases!
Quite a stride!
& a high-five to the mascot
at the finish line!

After the game, (a tough Chaser loss)
we completed a lap (walking) around
stadium... We spotted a statue of Hooks!
(Warren Spahn, Baseball Hall of Fame
inductee, 1973)
We didn't have to go far
to get to our hotel room!
We stayed in the hotel
right behind the outfield wall!
It was a good thing it was a day game...
Big storms rolled-thru that night!
No fireworks, but we were treated
to an impressive display of lightning!

DJ declared this to be the most-awesome
hotel pool ever!
-except, not that deep.
(4 feet, max)
An enjoyable experience!

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
