Building 803

Touching History:
It was nearly 50 years ago...
With the same design and paint color, Building 803 is just like the hundreds of other buildings at Fort Chaffee, except it has a little more history. Interesting history, of where a talented young performer began his military service. It's located on the part of Chaffee that was given back to Barling and Fort Smith in the 90's, so it's open to the public now.

The building is locked and empty, but Davis enjoyed the steps.
It's kinda like the West of the Mississippi Military Barber Shop Version of Graceland!
Davis was impressed too.
...and a little Jailhouse Rock dance move as a tribute to the King!

(how coincidental is it that the first Google image for Elvis + Jailhouse Rock is a photo that closely matches Davis' shirt and posture?)

欢乐中国的明天!

How about having Chinese food tomorrow?      Great! December 13th is Chinese Tomorrow! What is Chinese Tomorrow? When families get together for Chinese food and celebrate everything that is 'put-off' until tomorrow.   Here are a few rules: Everyone wears black (the actual day 'tomorrow' is dark & never sees a sunrise) Celebrate things that are put-off until tomorrow (find joy in those normally unpleasant procrastinations) Choose just one person to open a single fortune cookie (everyone else must wait until tomorrow ) Blog about it (post the fortune's lucky numbers as the title) Enjoy the great food! (Chinese food buffets are the best!)  欢乐中国的明天!

Happy New Year!
